OMNI 3-bar MAP sensor scalings
UPDATE: For anyone else who may be looking for scalings for the OMNI 3-bar, here are the settings that ended up working:
And here is the correct Evoscan equation: 0.17886 * x + 0.161 - y
where y = your local atmospheric pressure (14.7 at sea level)

Hi all,
I recently realized that I have an OMNI 3-bar MAP sensor, not a JDM MAP sensor, so I need to adjust my MAP scalings. I've searched but didn't find anything, except that the OMNI's scalings were apparently within 1-2% of the GM 3-bar, but I can't find scalings for that one either.
Anyone have MAP Scaling values for the OMNI 3-bar MAP sensor? just to be clear I'm talking about this table:

Yes there is a 4-bar, but this is a 3-bar that I have.

3, 4 and 7-bar sensors are made by OMNI for the Evo.
Thanks anyway though.

Assuming that the little test I did makes sense, those aren't correct.
What I did was take a known psig value (23) and plug it into the old evoscan formula I was using to get the raw output, which gave me 198.88. I then checked my MAP scalings (which are for a JDMMAP) to see what voltage outputs that number (4.093V). I then used that voltage along with your proposed scalings and got a new raw output of 185.18. When I used that in the correct 3-bar OMNI MAP sensor evoscan formula I got 18.75 psig.
I have Zeitronix's MAP sensor plugged into my ZT-2 w/ the LCD, and when I'm boosting 23 psig (according to my now-false JDMMAP formula) I would get around 22, not 18.75 psig on the ZT-2.
Is my math/logic correct?

Funny enough since its a 5volt 3 bar sensor I suppose you could have used the JDM settings for it. Though just glancing at the two they look similar in scale as the ones I posted up to the 140 mark.
JDM Settings:
0.51 20
0.90 40
1.29 57
1.68 78
2.07 97
2.46 117
2.85 138
3.24 158
3.63 255
If we just wanted to math this out the original MDP sensor of 1 BAR 4.53 volts was equal to 80 units. Since a 3 bar sensor rises exactly 3x faster than a 1 bar sensor the equivalent voltage at 80 would have been 4.53/3.
Direct value conversion from stock would look like this.
Stock:
0.84 11
1.37 20
1.89 31
2.42 40
2.95 48
3.48 57
4.00 67
4.53 80
4.98 255
Modified:
0.28 11
0.42 20
0.63 31
0.81 40
0.98 48
1.16 57
1.33 67
1.51 80
1.66 255

Did a lot of searching, found this and it helped me out. I noticed my boost gauge and what the logs were showing was off by a few psi and I started looking............
Wonder how many more of the OMNI 3 bar's are out there running on JDM data?

Well let me back up...... It helped me out in knowing I don't have a JDM or OMNI MAP. After some digging the company I purchased from told me it's there brand (Honda's guys use them).
They sent me the voltage vs PSI/boost chart. How do I convert that over to our requirements?
thanks
