Help with ROM

Help with ROM
Here is the issue, I opened ecu flash, plugged in the cable and downloaded my Rom from the ecu 94170015. The car has many mods so I had the guy send me the file he had for it that had been flashed to it. The one he sent me and the one that opened from the ecu is different. Car has SD, Tephra, and so on in the xml file he sent me but when I open the one from ecu flash it is like a base map. I've tried replacing the one in ecu flash with the one he sent me but then it won't even open it. Any help would be great.

Its important to figure out what tephra rom you have.
The reason it wont open is your missing xml's. I'll assume you were sent a v7 rom look for the tephra v7 thread and download all the xml's for the rom there and put it in the rommetadata directory.

Ok I found that but my question is even if I add the 5.10 tephra xml's what about all the rest of my tune that's on my car now as for the SD, afr, inj scaling, E-85 map and timing? I know I'm new to all this but my car is tuned now for everything I have added except one thing, don't want to start from scratch on tuning. I have went from 3" cat to test pipe and feel I need to do a little adjusting to my tune but don't want to clear out anything that is on there that I need.

Ok so I have copied all the definitions in the xml file I was sent for the car that were added, pasted in the 94170015 xml folder. Now every time I go to open the saved rom I had from the car ecu flash just closes. If I take them out and resave it, it will open fine. Might try adding them and re read the ecu from the car. I'm at a loss on what I'm doing wrong.

Saved rom, then clicked on one of the boxes to open it and ecu flash closed itself. If I open it and try to load the saved rom again ecu flash just closes again. This is really on my last nerve, can't do any tuning to my car and had plans to go to the track Friday. Anyone???????

See if there is a line like address="0" in it and remove them completely that should stop it from crashing.

I have added the Tephra 5.10 xml's and it all comes up fine but I really need to find whats wrong with what I was sent cause I still need my SD tuning, MUT table, and all the other little added things. Guess I will have to go thru it a little at a time till I find the problem. I can email either of you the file if you want to take a look at it just PM me email if interested
