Where to get a "base" map

Hello,

Well I decided to try tuning my evo myself. At first I was just going to be lazy and pay someone but decided there wasn't any satisfaction in that. Ah the mentality of a Do it yourselfer!
In short I've tuned a lot of different standalones for myself and other people. I use to tune motorcycles exclusively for a shop with a car and motorcycle dyno. (My turbo hayabusa made 339whp and 200ft lbs on pump )
So anyway I don't have all the spare time I had in the past between work and 3 kids now so I was hoping to find a good starting base map for the mods I currently have so I can at least drive the car while I figure everything out and fine tune it.

I don't think you'll find many people offering base maps here. Depending on your modification level, tuning might be a really easy process of very time consuming. Let us know what you have done and what your goals are.

I have a evo VIII with: Buschur 10:1 motor(2.0L), BR stage 3 head, HKS 280 cams, FIC bluemax 1650's, Omni 4bar, Evo9 turbo (for now) and e85.

My major goals are to get the car changed to SD and E85 then learn how to tune the software before winter (plan on changing to a 6262 setup then)

Well sir... I would suggest starting with a remote tuner from the boards. Mellon, VR Speed Factory and a few others come to mind. That is a complex beast you have there and you will learn a lot by having them help from the start.
