Did my tuner do a good job?

My buddy, tuned my car and he said it was okay to post.

Hey guys, I'm new to this tuning thing and as I made a few datalogs and read my map's I'm just wondering if they are: okay, safe, bad, etc... I'm still in the learning proses so I want other peoples word on it.

Car: 2004 AS EvoVIII SSL

Fuel: 93 Octane

My mods are: evo9 turbo, 255 pump, cranky pully, 3.5 fmic, licp, evo9 diverter valve, cone filter, tbe, shep stage 3 transfer case.

Attached are: High oct. timing map, High oct. fuel map, 2 data logs

Thanks in advance!
Ben

I wouldn't call that a tune but that's just me.

Looks okay, I guess. You have provided limited information. Can't tell anything about the fuel.

Timing map is blocked and has some sloppy values put in. Take the 220 load column. At any given load as you pass peak torque you will in most every case want to increase timing as you increase RPM. Your map goes 8-10-9-13. Given the computer interpolates from these values, it is not ideal. Your the logs show a non progressive timing curve (12-8-8-8-10-9-8-7-9-8-9-10-12). With all that being said, I wouldn't tune a car like that for multiple reasons BUT that doesn't mean the car won't run great with those specific mods in the specific environment it was tuned.

Why are you asking? Do you not trust the tuner or is the car not up to your satisfaction?

Get your TPS checked out. Unless you didnt floor it until 6k? Also, why are you datalogging so many things? It slows your logging down logging all that unneeded stuff.

As for the tune, I think your timing still needs some work. Did you even log your AFR's?

I asked just for a clarification. The car runs great but I know there is room for improvement! Thanks for your time man!

I'm gonna have to agree with razorlab, I wouldn't call that a finished tune.

First, like Boltz said, timing map is sloppy. Fuel map is kinda sloppy too, IMO.

And on your logs, your not even going WOT (100% throttle) till 6K RPM. To do a proper pull, you need to go WOT around 2500-3K RPM to redline.

And those logs dont have any wideband AFR data. Hope you guys are using a WB during tuning.......

Timing at peak torque looks a bit high...most cars like 3-4 degrees.

Yeah it is. But he never even hits peak load/tq in the logs, as he never goes WOT in the peak load/tq area.
