Problem with knock, Pull timing???

I read a thread about knock problem and tscompusa mention pull timing???....

I have knock problem with my car. I run an agressive ROM (our gas in 89 oct)with my Fp Black, but sometimes not always get knock...

My question is, how can pull timing in my High octane ignition timing in Ecuflash?

I want made this, because, I want to know if this is real knock or phantom knock.

I need to modify the high timing and low timing??? or only high timing without fuel???

I put an image of my timing map.

I will apreciate your help!!

Thanx!

If you are running 89 octane, your ignition timing is very aggressive. At first glance I thought you may have been running e85.

How much load are you hitting? On a black at 28 psi you're probably waaay over 260 load, and would badly need a rescale.

To stay on topic though, pulling timing means to reduce timing. So you need to reduce timing at the load and rpm point where you get knock. Since it's not consistent knock, 1 or 2 degrees should be enough.

Yeah, my tuner says that my timing and AFR are very agressive, for that he decide stop there. the problem is when I was tuning, I reduce the sesibility of my knock sensor , Yeah I know, this is not good! Right now I run my car in that way. The thing is. In one pull the car rune great! And them one pull more and the car give a lot of knock!

I use methanol 50/50 and Xylene.. 80% gas and 20 xylene...

When I boost to 28 psi, peak of 29 psi, thar load is 326...

I pull timing yesterday... And the car give me less knock but always saw knock.

From what I have been reading you need to keep pulling (reducing) timing out until you don't have anymore knock.

First thing you need to do is re-scale your fuel and ignition tables.

I todd!! I use 96530006 (RS2)... I put that ROm because i found it in a website with the inmovilizer disable...

This one:
http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=254746

It has Tephra Mod. V5, and I delete off the XML file, and the engine light always flashing... even with a rom very conservative in timing...So, to finish my tune I had to down the sesibility in the knock sensor.

First thing that you need to do, as raptord and 1upmoto previously stated, is rescale your load axis. I wasn't aware that you were running meth injection...so I suppose your timing is not that aggressive. I would also return the knock sensor sensitivity back to stock settings.

I returned the knock sensibility back to stock and get a lot of knock sum!

when I was using a conservative tune in timing always get a lot of knock in 3rd pulls. I change everything in the head (spring, ti-reteiners, lifters, etc) an always get knock!

Also, have you rescaled your load axis yet?

This is a pull, I donīt remember if was 1st and 2do gear or 2do and 3er gear, with stock load knock scale...
