GM 3port only increases boost at 100%WGDC
I have a slightly different engine than you guys with Evos, but I am using the same ECU. I just added a 3port GM BCS, wired it all up, and then went for a cruise. The solenoid activates when I press "activate" on it in EvoScan.
I logged boost just on wastegate psi - a cool 6psi on the gauge and the omni 4bar
I set my WGDC to 20% across all gears in the Tephra v7 rom, and did another pull or 2, but I still saw 6psi.
I did this same thing for 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 WGDC across the board. Finally I thought well...what the hell, and set it at 100%. That pull I did see the pressure build past 6psi, up to 8psi before my "boost cut" was hit. I had it set pretty low in case anything went nuts.
Anyway, my question is this. With error correction off, and logs confirming the WGDC is at the specified value, what am I doing wrong to require such a high WGDC? I assumed it would be much much lower than an evo since my target boost is 10psi (meaning my own personal goal, nothing in the rom is set to this right now)
I am not running a resistor, and I have the BCS hooked up to it's own 12v fuse. When it starts to activate I can hear it go "BADADADADADADADADADADADADADA", is it supposed to click on and off that quickly?
Thanks for any help evo guys.

I was originally running on wastegate pressure, with a forge WGA. I have the lightest spring, which they call 5-10psi. The lines are hooked up from the Turbo outlet pipe nipple to the metal side of the 3 port, and then on the plastic side of the 3port I have the "farther away" line connected to the WGA. The one more in the center on the plastic side just vents to atmo with a little filter on it, since I am speed density and don't need to worry with loosing a little air causing bad maf readings or anything.

I'm betting I have a boost leak or something, right? Would that cause this sort of behavior? Everything that I read says the 3port gm is "faster" so it can bleed off more air, which should mean boost would skyrocket easier if you crank up the WGDC right? I'm going to do a leak test tonight.
*Edit* Roadspike said to double check my hoses and make sure my preload is right, and to make sure my WGA arm isn't stuck open or anything like that, so I will do that this evening

yeah, 03 lancer OZ with a 4g94 engine. Mods are some parts from an evo (turbo, intercooler, ecu, intake, downpipe), custom exhaust manifold by speedcorps, gm 3port BCS.
I make about 160hp at 5-6psi, and the last pull with WGDC at 100%, I saw about 8psi and the curve looked on par with making about 180-190 hp, but I didn't get to the high enough RPM's because I hit the boost cut I had set. Even if it works with the WGDC at 100%...I don't want that I don't think, that is really weird and leaves no room for error I think.

I tell you what, I feel a bit like a jack ***. I went to do a boost leak test, and it was pretty solid...the same small leak all of us 4g94 guys have on that idle...whatever, some sort of little red thingie on the intake manifold...
Anyway, went to lookin at my boost solenoid, and I thought, "Okay...since roadspike said to, and some other guy...I'll trace those hoses one more time." Well, sure as shipwreck, the one from the compressor went to the one where the WGA one was supposed to go, and the other was ...you get the picture, I flipped the 2 hoses backward.
Needless to say, it's working now, 45% WGDC was were I stopped this evening, with some variation to get the spike smoother, and that was hitting around 8psi pretty solidly. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense, that even though the solenoid was bleeding air off...it was bleeding it from the wrong spot, because air was still trapped between the solenoid and the WGA....so it stayed "tight".
Sorry for the topic, and thank you for the suggestions to double check myself, it turned out to be the issue. On a positive note...8psi is around 180hp for me.
