Tactrix cable inop
Is there a way to test a tactrix cable to make sure its ok? I think mine just died on me. I reloaded the drivers but the cable still wont work. When I plug the cable into the usb port the computer doesnt beep or do anything to recognize it. I also plugged the cable into my home computer but it doesnt do anything there either. This all started after I went to log a buddys car. Is it possible his car somehow shorted my cable out? I have the 1.3 cable. After hooking up to his car I hit the log button to make sure it was working and it was. We drove down to an open road and thats when I hit the log button and it didnt see the cable. I did get some pop up measege from the computer saying something about the usb device not recognized or something like that. I really didnt pay too much attention to it and I closed it out. So ever since then it stopped working.

I stumbled upon this on ebay and found you need to remove pin 9 from your Tactrix cable because it shorts it out if you hook up to certain Evos? Here is a link http://www.ebay.com/itm/360396439262...84.m1423.l2649
Is this what happend to my cable? It happend after I hooked up to an Evo 9. I want to be sure its not some software issue or something before I buy a new cable.
