Track day Evo vid: Gopro + remote mic + logs
Hi guys,
Just to share...
Here is my first intent syncing my logs with some virtual gauges on a video @ the track...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bK6jS0kYMBY
The set was done with:
-Gopro HD
-Remote microphone (rear bumper)
-Evoscan logs & playback dashboard
For reference, the 911T is upgraded to 700HP...
I hope you will like it!

Cheers,

Here is the procedure I used:
(Note that everything is done on Mac)
1- Run Evoscan thru Parallels and playback the log
2- Screen capture with ScreenFlow
3- Edit with Final Cut with a mask shape on Gauges only
4- Locate some gear change or any keypoint to sync Gopro vid with screen capture
5- Export and this it it
Cheers!

The sample rate of the log is around 8-10Hz but the speed value change only once per second... I have noticed it from on the csv...
If you have a look at the boost gauge, it is more alive.
I don't know if it is a bug of Evoscan, if it is the way the ECU send it (since physical dashboard is analog) or if something is wrong on my xmldef...

My pleasure:
-Walbro gas pump
-850 cc injectors
-K&N cone filter
-Self ported header
-FP Green 73 HTA + FP intake
-Invidia turbo outlet
-Front intercooler (do not remember brand but it is big:-)
-Self made IC Spray (controlled by IPW)
-Greddy Turbo timer + self made frequency divider to have the speed display working
-Perrin UIC pipes
-3" Perrin full exhaust (no cat)
-Aquamist HFS5 (50-50% water-alcohol - dual nozzles: pre & post turbo)
-Tein Super Racing suspension
-DBA5000 front brakes
-CL pads
-Brake lines
-Zeitronix ZT2 WB + EGT + IR brake temp sensor
-Lot of hours self tuned Tephra V7 dual map ROM
-BF Goodrich R1 slick tires on track... (225 x 17)
I guess I still forgot something but you have an idea!
Cheers

Here's a video I made overlaying both an Evoscan log and a Torque log. As you can see the gauges are fairly smooth (besides speed)

I was referring to all the gauges, not just speed. Though it is true that speed only refreshes once/second. Did you have log to screen enabled? That would in large part explain the low sample rate if it was.
