*please help* LC-1 keeps loosing calibration data
as in title
after free air calibration all is good for short period of time. maby day or two. then it randomly looses data. can't link it to any exact reason, happens while driving
what can it be? please help, it's very annoying to dissconnect sensor from exhaust and recalibrate every time

i had the same issue and ended up changing the sensor and that fixed the problem. Though i find the LC1 is not very accurate no matter how many times i calibrate, adjust, change or what ever. I think i will be ditching it soon for zeitronix.
cheers

used it nearly for 2 years without a problem and now this occured
wanted to know is it the fault of the unit itself, or the sensor. two different answers yet, looking forward for more suggestiosns
as about loosing power, I suspected that too, but all connections seem good

the lc1 is rediculously sensitive to wiring. specifically the grounds. ive owned two in two different cars, one worked and was sort of close, the other never worked right at all.
there are known issues with some of the brains. if it worked for a period and is now dead, i will put money on the brain being dead.

I have a LC1 that im having constant problems with as well.. Many people keep telling me to go with the ZT-2 from zeitronix or the AEM UEGO.. I would recommend you to do the same. The problem your having isn't anything out of the ordinary..

Wire up the LC-1 correctly and don't log it with EVOScan and they are trouble free.
I had trouble often when I was trying to use EVOScan with it. It would lose calibration within a day or two of logging almost every time. Once I started using logworks, it stopped losing it's calibration. Then I simply wired it into the rear O2 and went back to EVOScan.
I think EVOScan messes with them when you try to log through serial.
The idea of "accurate" is funny anyway as they use the same sensor and the sensor it's self isn't very accurate. As long as it is repeatable and within 0.5 AFR (which they are if you install them correctly) that's all that really matters.

Follow the guidelines for grounding requirements and make sure all the connections are good.
Mine didn't loose the calibration during actual logging, but it would loose it within a day or two after logging. Did it a handful of times before I switched to logging it through the ECU rear O2 input and I never had an issue after that.
