Need help please! - Cold idle problem

Hey guys.

I'm getting frustrated and have spent a good amount of money trying to resolve, can you guys help?

Here's some background:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...le-issues.html

Basically the car, when cold (coolant less than 80ºF), will idle well on startup and then start to lean-out and attempt to die 30-45 secs later.

I thought it was a defective injector - it wasn't (I replaced them)

I thought it was EGR - it wasn't (I blocked it off.)

Here is video of it in action:

If I lock the ecu in full time openloop mode(using Periphery bits) , the problem goes away. Is there anything that can keep the ecu from running openloop during warmup besides the coolant temp?

Mods are:
USDM Evo IX
FP Green HTA Turbo
Kelford 272 camshafts
FIC 1100cc fuel injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump
ETS 3.5” Intercooler
ETS Lower intercooler pipe
ETS Intake tube w/ K&N cone
Invidia O2 Housing
Tanabe Exhaust

You need to increase you post primer enrich in the trouble areas. It is the function that takes over enrichment after the initial crank, which is where you're having issues. If you're using V7 it is located in the Main Map Fuel Settings, if you're not using V7 you can add it to your xml files by copying and pasting the info in this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...cv-tables.html

I am on V7.

I tried increasing values in the "Post-Cranking IPW Enrichment Adder #1 & #2" tables already with no real change.. maybe I didn't adjust them enough...

How long do those tables stay in effect? Do they stay in effect until you reach the coolant temp listed in the table or are they time based?

As you can see in the video, the issue begins within the first 30-40 seconds and can last a 2-4 minutes depending on how quickly the car warms up.

What did you adjust it to? What is the air temp when this is happening?

I believe it is time based. It helps to stabilize combustion after startup and before the front o2 kicks in. Once the o2 kicks in, I have not seen it affect anything. I think you need to add a bit more to it.

Any update on this? Going through the same issue now. I've been told to check fuel pump and filter.
