Do not use the Oring as well as the inlet manifold grommet!

This will cause you problems, we are the local reseller in Taranaki for Xspurt and have seen this done before

Thanks Phil thats good to know! so which one should I use? or do I need to buy other lower seals and remove the green lower Oring that comes with the injectors?

I've already had to pry off the lower black plastic tapered ring so the injectors would fit into the Evo intake manifold. Do I need to drill out the manifold?

No just remove the black plastic tapered ring, lower green oring and then it seats directly into the inlet manifold grommet/rubber. They should have come with new inlet manifold rubbers?

No my ones did not come with new IM rubbers - I got them from Shred Motorsport in Wellington, I guess I should contact them unless you have some for sale?

I couldn't get hold of Shred today but I did remove the green lower o-ring and checked the factory Airtrek / Evo lower seals and they looked in pretty good condition and fitted snug so re-installed the injectors, still the same issue.

I couldn't do the boost leak test as my tester didn't quite fit over the Evo 9 turbo intake side so will need a slightly bigger hose to try again.

I'm 99% sure its a boost / vacuum leak now, just need to find where!

Did a boost leak test today, only up to 15psi max and I had a couple of small leaks but it still held pressure for at least 5 - 10 seconds and took nearly 30 seconds to drop down below 5psi - So I don't think it is a boost / vacuum leak causing the issue so much...

One other strange thing, the maximum number I can use for injector scaling is 770 in ECUFlash. Is this normal? if I want to go higher I need to enter the number manually - 813 / 835 / 860 etc.

I don't know if this is just something in the Airtrek XML 83540001 (copied from Greg / Merlins 89970010) or common across Evo ROM's too? could this be part of the issue?

I'm seriously considering buying another set of the STI Pinks (565cc) I was running before and going back to my previous setup as I had no such issues there...

Phil, Can I order a set of the lower seals from you?

If you can PM me bank account details etc and I'll send through my address.

Cheers,
Russell
