Good stuff, is it up for testing yet as mine still crashes when launched?

Using a 12vdc power adapter to bench flash...multimeter reads 16.5v output alone and 15.5v after plugging in the OP only. Is it safe for me to plug the ECU in at 15.5v without frying it? I'm sure the voltage will drop a bit with ECU and OP, but still scared to harm the ECU with that higher voltage. anyone got any input into this? Thanks

Any update on new 2011 ROM? What was the issue with it? Im about to bench flash the original version you sent me last week. I won't be doing anything crazy with the TModV2 yet, so as long as the car runs and I can mess about with some stuff.

David thank you for all the time you have spent putting forth another great product for the Evo Community!!! We all appreciate it, Cheers!

OK so I just tried bench flashing the Rom onto the ECU. Put it back in the car and i get the fans and service reminders on the display. Car tries to crank but won't fully turn over and run. I Flash this in recovery mode and ECUFlash gave the pop up that it completed successfully. It was a very slow flash from 0% to about 65%, then up to 74% really quick, and bam popup window saying it was successful. Whats the deal here, my car won't start!!!!!

This is the Task Info report from ECU Flash:

Well Sorry for posting three in a row here, but...

(My car is also Bone Stock for reference)

I put the ECU back in the car, turned to ON Position and tried to start, no luck. I decided to be brave and try other things. I disabled the recovery mode in ECUFLash and hit "Write to ECU"...it completed successfully. Turned ignition to off, and the immediately went to turn the car on...no fans running this time and so I turned it over and IT STARTED right away.

Logged a bit while it idled, nothing unusual. Start creeping forward in my neighborhood and car starts to sputter and idle weird. I try to get going a little bit more and as soon as I got over 2200 rpms the engine tries to stall out. Now the engine is idling at 2k rpms and then a SES Light. I shut the engine off and pull the DTC, P0068. I then did the drive over again after clearing the code. Idle back to normal then SES, P061A. Cleared code after driving the 25 ft back got my garage and the restarted the car and back to idling fine. Im gonna let it sit until the 2011 USDM 56890213 Rom is updated.

Tephra I emailed you about all this too, can I get that USDM 2013 rom you spoke of? My car is a DD so the least amount of down time the better. Cheers!

I had the same issue only to realize that the ecu stays in flash mode after a recovery mode bench flash. So after bench flashing, one has to disable recovery mode as you did in ecuflash and reflash the same TephraXMod V2 map in the normal mode this time. On successful completion and power cycling, the ecu reverts back to engine run mode. The normal flash may be carried out on the bench on on the car after reinstalling the ecu.
