Tephra's XML is only for his modified portions of the ROM and has a line in it that calls the main 56890013 XML around line #17 if you look it will look like this:

Code:
<include>56890013</include>
So my guess is your 56890013.xml does not match what is in the tephra V2 XML.

Attach your 56890013 XML to this post so I can see it.

if you check that xml - you will notice that there is NO "MAF Scaling" table defined..

so my XML is saying "hey use MAF Scaling and add a few more attributes", and Live Tuner is saying "But there isn't a MAF Scaling defined at all"

the quick work around is to remove the MAF Scaling line in the V2 XML - just means you wont be able to live tune it

the fix is to find a MAF Scaling entry that you can put into the 56890013 xml and then ensure V2 XML has the same named entry..

Cool David, thanks for getting back to me on this so fast. I just deleted that portion in your XML and tried opening the ROM in LiveTuner and its working now! Thanks

I will update you on the 3 patches/fixes you sent me tomorrow.

The portion you deleted from tephra's XML is the portion that enables live tuning so you'll want to add that back and correct the actual issue if you plan on live tuning the car.

Looks like you are using ECUFlash out of box XML, I highly suggest you use Golden's version instead. I haven't checked it in a while but my XML for that ROM started from his then I defined all tables that have been published publicly for other ROM's. If you need that let me know and I can share it.

Or at the very least at this to yours:

Code:
<table name="MAF Scaling Horizontal" address="575ae" category="Fuel" type="2D" scaling="GramsPerSecond">
    <table name="Volts" address="62014" type="X Axis" elements="130" scaling="VoltsADC1023"/>
</table>

</table>
So I deleted the XML that come with the install of ECUFlash and downloaded Goldens XML. I put the "MAF Scaling" coding back into tephra's. Then tried to open the ROM in LiveTuner and it errors out again.

Where am I adding that coding to Goldens XML or tephra's XML? Also where in the XML does this need to be placed?

What version of ECUFlash are you using, the most recent beta should work out of the box...
But you should be able to fix your 56890013 XML pretty easy..

1.44.3721 from tactrix website. I got it figured out now. Had to add the code that you posted on the last page and with it in golden's XML also. Live tuner opens the ROM file correctly now. I really appreciate all the help guys. This adding lines of code stuff is a little new to me. Thanks!

So is the 56890013 ready? If so when will you send it tephra?

I'll let David answer when it's ready. But I will be testing out some fixes tomorrow for the 56890213 ROM tomorrow. That's progress at least.

So question about the v2. I'm scheduling my recall for my CMC soon and if I have the v2 on the ECU, will the dealer be able to reflash it back to an oem ROM? I'm going to let them know not to reflash, but even if they do. Shouldn't it not work anyway without a bench flash to the ECU?

My dealership knows me so they do not mess with my car and didn't attempt the flash when I was there.

Bottom line dealership flash method won't have restrictions ECUFlash has and will overwrite it if they perform it. Best option is to refuse it and hope they don't do it anyway.
