Viewing Data of Map

I used to dabble in this back in the day when ECUFlash first came out and it sure has changed. I remember that I had to edit my XML file for my definition (88590715). I found an edited XML file and loaded the tables into my XML. Now when I view certain fields, it does not display all the data. See pics 1 and 2.

While poking around, I noticed that my alt map (presume e85 map) RPM is all over the place. It doesn't look normal and could be that I added someone's tables into my XML file, pic 3.

I don't plan on editing much, except for lowering my idle and maybe just to learn a bit more. I can't adjust the window size like normal windows. I run ECUFlash 1.29a since I have the older 1.3U Tactrix cable on Win 7 x64. I can upload my XML file if needed, but I essentially copied just the tables from this:

Either your ECU binary is corrupt or your XML file is wrong. Did you copy the XML file into your metadata directory (usually at C:/Apps/OpenECU/EcuFlash/rommetadata/mitsubishi/evo) ?

I copied the XML file and I also tried just copying the tables from the XML file into the existing 0715 XML. Both give me the same result.

I wouldn't touch the alt map. Is the car running ok? Just leave it alone and adjust the idle like you said you would.

Ronaldo,

I was just poking around to look at it. I don't plan to mess with the tune at all besides idle. I was just looking at the fields and noticed it was strange.

French,

Yup. I have a dual map e85/91. Mainly runs on e85.

The tephra v7 page recommends ecuflash 1.41 or better. Maybe your issue is with your ecuflash version. Try a later version to edit your rom and use the older version for flashing.

That did it. Thanks for the info. Lots of cool stuff to research now.
