Tephra v7 MOD-96260709. Newbie and need help!

Hi all.

Could anyone running Tephra's 96260709 get in touch with me please?

Working with a 2003 JDM Evo VIII GSR that my friend has recently purchased and we are just getting into tuning.

Have a few queries after comparing "Merlin's EcuFLASH EVO 7-8-9 Tuning Guide" to the existing data / graphs on the ECU. Namely Open Loop Load Threshold v. RPM; Open Loop TPS Threshold v. RPM; and Decel Fuelcut Delay v. Load.

The car experiences knock in the mid range at part throttle and continues to experience it till red line if one does not let off. Knock count in this situation peaks at a couple of instances of 8 to 9 counts. At WOT there is no knock.

I have read about the phantom knock problem with this bin but without access to DET cans am unable to confirm if knock is real.

Am at the moment studying the maps and current tune and comparing to the guide and am seeing some very different settings.

For the sake of full disclosure the car is running HKS 264 cams, a turbo back exhaust, intake and an Apexi AVC-R boost controller set to 1.5 bar (approx. 21.8 psi.).

Look forward to hearing back.

Thank you
