Outlander turbo, wont read ECU

Hello guys!
I received my tactrix openport 2.0 cable couple of days ago, and I have issues with reading down the ecu with ecuflash
I have tried a lot of times now and im coming to nothing.
The ECUflash starts reading, and a second later is failing, the fail that comes up says got 0x1a response instead of 0x1b.
I am out of ideas now, have some of you guys done it before? Any solution?

Under you can get my log from ecuflash and read.xml file.
Thanks!

I know with the Airtrek you need to modify the read cable. If you look on the car side plug you can see that only one pin in the plug is used. This pin does not match the tactrix plug and the issue is probably the same with the outlander. You can re-pin the plug or simply remove the wire and put another connector on there like a spade connector

Done that, the 2.5mm jack connector from openport is connected to the green wire on white connector behind the OBD2 connector. Still no success..

Sorry im not too familiar with flashing an outlander. What year is it? Is it automatic? if so you may want to edit your read file ...

Sure - i can show you how to make you own

Find your read files here - C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\read templates\

Open notepad and put the below in:

<rom>
<romid>
<xmlid>read_Outlander_turbo</xmlid>
<make>Mitsubishi</make>
<market>JDM</market>
<model>Outlander</model>
<submodel>CU2W</submodel>
<year>2005</year>
<flashmethod>mitsukernelocp</flashmethod>
<memmodel>SH7052</memmodel>
</romid>
</rom>
Save it to the read template folder and call the file: read_Outlander_turbo.xml

Once you have done that you should be able to go to 'select vehicle type'' in Ecuflash and it will be an option.

Now you might have to change either the flash method or memory model to get it to work. You can see in the vehicle list the other options used. Memory model should be SH7052 (256k) as you are manual. Based on year you should be Mitsukernalocp.

If it doesnt work i would first try change to Mitsukernal and try read again. Also make sure your voltage is good - best to use a battery charger when reading/flashing if possible as low voltage can cause read/write errors

I have no idea what your ROM definition is.. there is a russian Airtrek / outlander forum out-klub.ru and also airtrek-turbo.ru - both have lots of info

Good luck!

Actually it seems like you might need to use MMC flash program with your open port 2.0 cable?

Yes, I think now I have read every forum that was possible to get any info from.. I thinked about the MMC flash but the costs, and I can only do this vehicle with it..
I have now a mind on getting a PIASINI V4.3 master or KESS V2 V5.017, both from aliexpress, and just do bench-flashing with it.
But now I dont know if I should choose the PIASINI or KESS

Yeah sorry i have no experience with either of those. If you buy from Aliexpress you will be getting a çracked version and probably wont be getting the official update or support from the vendor...
