Fantastic thank you, hopefully it wont come to that. I have some colleagues flying in from the UK next month....so it will be a nice easy hand carry if I do need it (plus easy domestic shipping for you).

Ill be running a test on the valve/Pipe along with the sensors (before final install)
kind of want to make sure everything works before I install the goodies.
plan is to flash ecu. hook goods up to the ecu (fingers crossed)...test to see if the valve is actuated.

Ill post when I have a beter update, but I really appreciate the help.

what sensors am I needing.? I have the valve, metal pipe and the hose that goes to the UICP. I know I still need the banjo bolts and canister.

there is a SAS sensor...if you look at the pic on post 79 it is either the red or black one on the backside of the intake manifold mount. Cossie would know which one.
THe other sensor I believe is for the tank.

I think though you could get by with a Boost control solenoid. Since I am fortunate to have found the tank, and the two sensors, I will try those out first.

the sensor then needs to be connected to the ECU somehow...(havnt quite figured that one out)

Just got the goods in the mail today
1 manifold
1 SAS piping with valve
2 banjo bolts (thank god)
aCV tank
aCV sensor
SAS sensor
1 upper IC pipe from Trust

Question though
how big did you guys bore out the SAS holes on the manifold/Piping/banjo bolts?
I am going to port the manifold, and at the same time hopefully bore out the inlet holes a bit.
any ideas?

I am fortunate I have the two sensors, but I dont have the female connectors to them.
would really any female generic connector work?

Idea is to create pin 22-->hook SAS sensor to that, and then ground the other wire to the ground wire on the ECU. Same for the ACV tank sensor as well. Good idea or bad??

trying to make it as oem as possible.

ill have pics once I get around to it.

If you have the sas system from a 7/8/9 you shouldn't need to drill the sas bolts out.

However if it was from a 4/5/6 then you should drill them out to 5.5mm (just the holes in the banjo bolts not the pipework or manifold).

Any female plug that fits will work.

ya its more intensive than originally thought. yahoo auctions japan is where i found the parts. But need someonein japan to purchase and send. luckily have a couple friends over there.

by chance does anyone have an underside pic of an OEM usdm intake manifold?

trying to see how much labor this will involve before idive in. i am guessing the intake manifold will have to be removed to install the sensors and other crap.

Quick update and writing this down as I have the plan for the install.

I was confused about the sensors...I recieved a brown and black one in the mail. Brown one is not needed at all...trash it goes.

Black SAS sensor for SAS fitted cars attaches to the rear of the manifold through a standard outlet. I was just at my buddies house and checked out the intake manifold in more depth than ever and realized any vaccum outlet on top of the intake manifold can be "t" in for use. Probably will use the throttle body.

I was missing the female end of the sensor to the ECU. Looks like a fuel injector male end sensor will work just fine.

Here is the plan for tomorrow.
JDM manifold install (boo)
SAS piping install
Upper IC pipe install.
Sensor install-->this will be the fun part. I am going to use the advice earler in this thread and use the wastegate pin for the SAS pin. I will move the pin to the correct slot, and adjust the harness accordingly. Therefore to save some hassle, I will be splicing into the wastegate sensor wires with the SAS sensor wires. THis should be the cleanest way...hopefully it will work.

Another note and thought for Laramie... Really the whole thing will work if you can actuate that valve. Perhaps if there is some valve that can be actuated above a certain boost level (Pill perhaps) it would open the valve and dump the air. Just a thought...there might be a good mechanical fix for it...I bet it could be T d into from the throttle body semi directly...but I also could be completely wrong.

hopefully this thing will be going by sunday evening

update.

install was going great. Radiator, airbox, upper IC pipe, downpipe, exhaust manifold all removed and then bam...

found out that one of the studs from manifold to hotside on the turbo has broken off....

so this has turned into a little bit of an ordeal...hotside and turbout outlet removed.

Need to take the hotside to a machine shop to get the stud removed....

everything looks like it should fit ok though.

I am going to install the SAS sensor and tank underneath the airbox. It will T into the throttle body (which is already T ed into for boost gauge and MBC)
