When you have the cable plugged in all your acd lights will flash up until around 15 mph then shut off.

that is really weird. This happens to me also. does anyone know the problem to why its doing that. Is it the Cables fault or the car ecu itself?

Thanks

Mine doesn't do it. I leave my cable plugged in all the time and have it routed to the glove box.

Mine does the same. At startup all three ACD light come one, then at idle only one starts blinking and ABS light comes on.

every 8 and 9 I've messed with has never had these issues. No ABS or ACD lights doing anything out of the ordinary, you wouldn't even know its plugged in.

I read in a post by the Evoscan author that older cables purchased from him would have this issue. It can be alleviated by removing pin1 (Do not hold me to this ) i believe although from the post it sounds like the new release of EvoScan will allow access to ABS and ACD via that pin. He stated his new cable has a transistor in it that will switch off hence no flashing lights unless you are accessing some of the new features. I considered removing this pin but in the end I will wait for the new version of EvoScan to see if new features are worth the flashing.

Hey guys i just want you guys to know i found the problem to the flashing lights... acd lights, and Anti-Lock. Well i called Tactrix cable today and i let them know what was going on. By far they have really awesome customer serivce so that was out of the way. As far as the cable. If you look at it towards you there should be "3 PINS" on the bottom of the cable. THE FAR "RIGHT BOTTOM PIN" needs to be cut out. because they said that cable is also known to work for the wrx/sti. If you but the little pin you should have no problems and the lights wont be flashing anymore. ** also.. this problem is only for the 2006 Evo IX's only" So the 8's your covered!

good luck boys, let me know if you want me to pust up some pix of mine!

I have blinking lights when i plug my tactrix cable in. Ive done all kinds of flashing, re-flashing and logging and have never had a problem. They go away after a certain speed.
