I might be able to do it during my trip home on Friday. Depends on whether I can finish up a little task I'm doing for an Evo VI owner.

Does anyone know what color the wire leading into pin 77 on the evo 8s is? Is it blue with white or a light solid wire?

Hi guys, I am sorry if this has been asked already but could it be possible to use this for EGT instead IAT????? Or may be both with a small switch...?!?!
Any opinion?
Cheers.

Come on guys!!!
I have read all the thread and nothing... Aren't you interested in EGT???
I think it will be just a question of rescaling table...
Here is the part I have in mind...
Hope someone else believe it's a good idea!!
Cheers,

EGT is measured using a type K thermocouple which produces a millivolt signal. The signal is not compatible with the temperature signal inputs on the ECU, so it cannot be used in place of an IAT sensor signal. However if a standalone TC readout with an analog output is used, then the analog output can be fed into one of the 0-5V ADC inputs on the ECU.

Thanx man! Let me work on a small amp to get a 0-5V signal from the K Thermocouple!!!

I'm trying to find the correct IAT from Ballenger Motorsports and the part number isn't registering. It looks like the correct sensor is the one on the bottom of the page, but I'm not sure and I don't want to buy the wrong one. Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Nevermind, figured it out.

Installing the IAT sensor into the intake manifold it will give false readings from heat soak from the engine or not?
It is best to install the sensor in the intercooler pipe just before the air enters the throttle body or to add it into the intake manifold?
I have allready the intake prepared for the IAT sensor (JDM version)

not sure where is best, i have it on my intake manifold - MAT sensor that came with the JDM IX. i rive lots of long trips 2+ hours and no difference.

we dont have major temp swings here though.

So installing this into intake will not cause some big wrong readings right?
I have the same manifold like you

I already have a sensor on my intake manifold but for GM IAT I need a bigger NPT bung.
I`m still looking for the wires for this 25972 sensor.

Save the Data.xml file. That's it for the software modifications.

do we add this in right before the </EvoScanDataLogger>

example

<DataListItem DataLog="Y" Color="" Display="Manifold Air Temp" LogReference="MAT" RequestID="09" Eval="1.8*x-40" Unit="deg F" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="-40" GaugeMax="300" ChartMin="-40" ChartMax="300" ScalingFactor="1" Notes=""/>
</EvoScanDataLogger>
