This is what I use. Even though my desired boost is 320 in the table in reality I see 300 2byte load in logs with near zero error correction. The ECU does not use 2byte as its load for this calculation, in my case anyway.

You can change the load boost control follows. It actually makes it much more solid when you change it to follow 2byte load as boost load fluctuates too much in different temps.

That's the info I used. I'm using 96530006 which is my native ROM. I notice in the thread that evo828, who posted the info for this ROM, had the same issue with the logged load differing from the Boost Offset + Boost Desired Engine Load. I can't seem to find any information on how to fix this.

interesting I wonder if that def is incorrect for 96530006 then.

On all the USDM roms, changing boost to follow 2byte is spot on.

Ive got my boost curve very steady now with tbec zeroed out. I did a few logs with your settings bryan. Boost was up and down quite a bit. Does this mean my BDEL isnt spot on? I put it in exactly where the 2 byte and 1 byte from my log was. Should I tune the TBEC table instead now?

Thanks

Log load error and you will know for sure.

Here is my 4th gear log, its quite a bit different since I did all my wgdc tuning in 3rd with the tbec zeroed. Its hard to view in the graph view though, there was a big spike at the end.

Looks like you need to match your load better. Do you have 35X as BDEL + Offset at 3500, 4000 and 4500 rpm?

you should really log WGDC as well

I have 200 for the boost offset. Then

3000 141
3500 141
4000 141
4250 132
4500 128
5000 120

I used that from my earlier log.

Well that is your issue then as that log you posted has 352 logged load. I usually give the BDEL a little buffer.

That is because that was a 4th gear log I assumed. I would like to keep it around 340ish load, should I just lower the wgdc a hair there? Then bump up the target load. My 3rd gear logs are 341 load.

Was the boost level the same or close? You can fine tune the TBEC so it doesn't fluctuate the boost so much in higher gears. Just use smaller negative correction numbers (keep the same additive if you have UpwardCorrection vs TPS zeroed)

The AEM is a bit touchy so I would try out less drastic correction numbers.

you can also try out tephra's newer rom with gear based boost control.

i got 96260009 and i have similar issue... what i find is that even if i change the variable to the raw load it still seem to use the temp+baro compensated values

The boost level was just a hair higher than i would like on the 4th gear run with the 352 load(32psi). Thats why I would like to keep it around 340 load. So in that case, just lower the negative correction numbers instead of touching the bdel table? Any idea how far you would lower them?

Thanks

New settings with better results. It still jumps up and down more than I want but it is getting better. Here are my new settings with a 3rd and 4th gear log. Any input is very much appreciated.

Thanks
