bump. going for a tune on monday.

I have an FPRED and an aquamist hfs-6 kit and i'm super worried these cams are going to make my setup go to waste.

Worry not This was straight 92, not meth. 93 and meth should eclipse this pretty easy.

Ignore the boost plot, this was the start of that MAP sensors failure, was 28psi.

So:

FP Red 80mm
PPI Coated/Ported Exhaust Manifold
Ported Megan o2 Housing
GSC S1 Cams
FIC 880cc Injectors
Walbro 255
ETS 3.5" FMIC w/ Piping
AMS TBE (Catless)
on 92 Oct=

421/408

So^^^+

-93oct
-Meth (Aquamist hsf-6)
-Ported Intake Manifold
-65mm throttle body

BUT i'm also running a high flow cat....

I'd like to see 470 on Ivey's dyno.

It's going to be painful getting that close to 500 and not breaking it

I wonder how much i'm giving up from a GSC S2??

me? because I've had them for about a year now and they seemed to be the best option for a stock turboed car. I've said it before: although i have no experience with other cam options, I really really like the S1. They drive great and seem to make great power. I'm just worried they're too mild for my new setup. We'll see tomorrow!!

With the new found injector I was able to keep the car a little richer for those 20 min lap sessions and to stave off heatsoak induced knock. Here are the results-

and the logs-
Here's what happens when S1 cams meet FP-red and bosch1000cc injectors with a little speed density conversion. 75more ponies at 7500rpm.

This plot shows my car with stock turbo and S1s then with FP-red and S1s. There could be more power to be had but we need to see how this copes with track days 1st

GSC S2 cams were installed in my car before I bought it. The only other mods were intake, TBE, and MBC. I spoke to CBRD because I was wondering if the S2's were overkill for my setup. I was told that they don't even reccomend the S1's simply because they have seen a bigger gain from the S2's even on a stock car.

we dont recommend the S1's for most evo ix owners if they are willing to go with s2's..

with the mivec adjustments on the stock cams, we dont see big increases with the s1's... the s2's work excellent..

evo 8 is a different story, s1's show great gains.

440HP/454TQ on E85 with the S1's. That was 2 years ago. Now it's about 40-50HP higher. . .

This is for CBRD...At what RPM will an EVO 8 start spooling up with S1 and stock turbo? What other boltons if any will help the spool with this set up? How does an HKS 264 or 272 compare in terms of power and spool? thanks guys!
