I just find it funny how critical people can be sometimes. I simply posted up a dyno graph of a base tune for a built motor break-in. It is super laggy and conservative due to no timing and rich air/fuels. I even noted how I dislike "30r" based turbos. I will post up the new map which we finished up a while ago.
And yes this is the GG MR...The customer wanted to stop at 420whp which is roughly 480whp on our nearest dynojet. I would have loved to pump in some more timing and lean it out with some C-16.

Understanding that this is basically a 'break-in tune', let's take a look at the dyno plot that you posted and find some 'bugs'.
A- It seems that you only made this pull to 7k... Any particular reason why?
B- Your peak tq is coming in about 1000rpm late... Possible bugs in mivec? Boost leaks? Fresh plugs? Or is your tune just 'chunky', allowing the motor to break-in?
C- How does the car feel on the street?

Wouldn't it be more benificial for tuning the car based on load it would experience on the track or street rather then "what it likes"? IMHO if you are going to do it that way you might as well be using a dynojet..Please correct me if I am wrong or misunderstanding something.

Put it this way, not enough load and you will spin the rollers, too much load and the car can and will gain traction and try to pull off the front rollers. That is what i wanted to say. As ridiculously laggy as it looks, this is what the customer preferred and wanted a safe reliable break in tune.

talk to the customer, at this point i give up. I stated that the turbo was on its way out in an earlier post..I put some info up out here and get slammed for it. Yes it is laggy, and i should have not posted up that dyno graph!
