To the Op, Regarding the fluttering after market bov's, maybe you should give the new Tial recurculating bov a try. Flows great, doesn't leak under high boost and should retain driveability as it's recirculating air...

Definately great gains from the arc box, hard pipe and bov, and definately great thread showing that sometimes little details can have a huge effect on power

Excellent job on documenting the effect of each component. If you're having drivability issues with the Forge BOV, you might want to consider trying the Dejon Stop Leak kit which makes the stock Evo IX DV leak-proof at high boost.

Interesting, never heard of that kit, do you have that setup?

Yes, but not yet installed. Basically all it does is that when the boost exceeds 15 psi, additional force is exerted on the DV flapper to help keep it closed. Supposedly its enough force to keep the stock metal DV closed even at 50 psi.

Bumping my old thread from 4.5 years ago. . . sorry!! I just stumbled across it while searching for something else and thought, WOW how time flies when you're having fun!!! When I made this thread we had just won two SCCA Solo2 national championships and I was trying to make the car faster and better. I had never done a single track day or NASA HPDE. Who would have guessed that it would have ended up winning a NASA TT national championship a couple years later?? Crazy.

I don't post as much as I used to but anyone can feel free to PM me with questions or ideas. Here is where the car sits now, in the middle of a total top to bottom, 2 year long rebuild to make it the fastest T/A car in North America. It may never attain that goal - but if you don't set your sights high you'll never improve
