BR builds another, 500+ pump gas, 600+ race gas EVO

Just finished up another nice street car build for Josh.

The build:

BR Stage 3, 2 liter
BR Stage 3 head
Cosworth M3 cams
BR Race FMIC
BR upper and lower 2.5" i/c pipes
BR double pumper
PTE 1200cc injectors
BR turbo kit with FP HTA86 turbo
Exedy Triple metallic clutch
BR 3" downpipe
Greddy 3" catback
AEM EMS
Driven Innovations intake manifold
BR 65 mm throttle body

The car was tuned on the fuel it came in here with first, pump gas, unsure of the octane but I assume 93. Peak boost was set to 29 psi.

The car made 570 whp and 409 ft lbs of torque. The torque "curve" is quite impressive in this car. This is one of the first builds we used the Cosworth M3's in and I have to say that the torque is extremely flat both on pump gas and race gas. This build hits 400 ft lbs of torque at 4700 rpm and carries it almost to 8,000 rpm.

Then I turned the boost up to 37 psi and we put the race gas in it.

The power climbed to a best of 654 whp and 527 ft lbs but I was not happy with the curve. I backed the boost and tune down and ended up with the 624 whp/485 ft lb sheet below.

This car is getting delivered a few states away and once it is home I will be working to make more power with it via e-mails and logs. I feel the car has a solid 30-50 more whp in it on race gas for sure. I'd like to see the logs though after it is in it's own "climate" as it was very cold here yesterday and I hate to push it in 20 degree weather when the car will be driven rarely or never in that conditions again.

The car runs great and is smooth as silk. This should be another 9 second EVO for 2009.

Enjoy your car and thanks for letting us build it Josh.

When I talked to your boy at SEMA about getting that M3 intake cam for my car I think I am sold on it now over the JUN Cams

Great job on the build, what I like so much about this build is that it is so much like mine with the exception of the turbo and intake cam... Josh has slightly better TQ, but eitherway great job on the build!!!

Have fun Josh

Where will this car be shipped to ? Amazing build from BR once again. Truly shows you the knowledge and results are what makes them the best. Your doing something right when you have customers ship you there cars from different states to have work done to it by BR.

Dave,

Thank you so much for everything and thank you to everyone at Buschur Racing. You guys build the sickest cars and I am very happy with the numbers. You guys gave me awesome customer service and took very good care of me. You guys are simply the best. Expect a thread in the review section in the near future

Its going to be shipped to Atl, GA. As much as I hate to put my car in someones hand who I dont know (shipping company) I still shipped it, because Buschur Racing is simply the best in business.
