Great results...thanks for the upgrade path...I'll be picking up a BBK real soon!

What's 4x Kracka Vent setup w/ ebay catch-can? I need to pick up a catch-can and can't decide what to run.

any reason why you didn't run 29psi on pump alone?

Thx for the nice comments guys

I have alky for running high boost, high timing. My pump gas tune is my safe/conservative/boring tune. I flip on the alky (which triggers high boost map thanks to Tephra) when I'm having a bad day, or having a good day, or just feel like having a little extra fun

Running high boost on pump is cool in its own regard, but spraying alky allows more timing and ultimately more power/torque. Call me mister conservative, but I just don't like the idea of running more than 25 or 26psi on pump gas, even on an efficient setup. When I get my issues sorted out, I'll try bumping the boost a bit and see how much it helps. If I pull the head, it's likely to get ported...perhaps between that, a bit more boost and more tuning, I can knock on that 400whp door on pump gas

Great numbers. I'm running nearly the same setup as you except for the UICP, Alky, and I have the new CBRD FMIC. Cant wait to get everything on and see how it does. We dont have a Dyno up here so I'll have to judge power my 1/4 times.

It is only a few hundred RPMs behind the IX turbo on my car. I always had compressor surge really bad in 5th around 3000rpms, so I had boost dialed back right there just a little bit with the GM BCS/stock ecu boost control system. Also keep in mind I have a VIII, no Mivec to help spool the turbo, and the kelford 272's don't help it spool as early as my hks 280's did.

With that said, here are some ROUGH comparisons that I have done. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND the caviots I've said above, as this is not ideal circumstances for the BBK, but it still shows a lot IMHO.

August 2008 setup(pump gas only) -vs- May 2009 setup(pump gas only):

August 2008 setup(pump gas+alky) -vs- May 2009 setup (pump gas+alky) (note this also has the May2009 pump gas line in there too@375whp...ignore that):

August 2008 setup(pump gas only) -vs- May 2009 setup(pump gas+alky):

Considering the BBK is not fully tuned, and the major component I've switched is the BBK, I think the last graph speaks volumes about how good of a pump gas turbo the BBK is.

Again, this is NOT an ideal comparison by any means, just my setup last year vs my setup this year.

I'm very impressed with the 457whp/430wtq. I also like the fact that you have the map switching set up as I'd prefer that route as well especially when my wife is driving my car. Could you post a link to the thread that discusses how to properly set up the map switching function as that would give me something to read here in Iraq? Thanks.
