Do yourself a favor and be open to help. You might be surprised to find out that there are other people out there that are much smarter than you. When you make comments like this ^^^^ they shake there heads and won't waste their time teaching you what took them 30 years to learn.

From the looks of the graph in post #1, the 86 doesn't give up any power anywhere to the 82. Does that turbo really spool the same as an 82? I just ordered my 82 yesterday, but after looking at your graph I'm wondering if I should change my order to the bigger one. I could have sworn that I read the the bigger HTA does give up quite a bit of spool though.

Mellon...you can pick up power from the 3"-4" pipe. Especially with an S cover on your turbocharger.
With an angle more than 7 degrees you get flow separation...causing turbulence. Turbulence slows air speed (velocity) and hurts your compressor efficiency.
The shape of the tube before and after the restriction HIGHLY affects the amount of air that you can get through it. TRUST ME... I made 90hp through a 20mm restrictor on a 600cc F4i. I spent countless hours testing diffusors and bellmouths around the restrictor.
IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. You own a dyno... go test it... find out for yourself.

Are you saying the intake in post #31 would be ideal? I'm going to be running a similar setup to Mellon on the stock ECU, so I want to make sure I'm buying the right stuff. I haven't ordered an intake yet, as I'm still undecided, but its hard to argue with Mellon's results ont the Buschur. Any input would be appreciated.
Btw, I don't think he owns a dyno. I thought all of his graphs were from some sort of HP/TQ calculator he's using. I could be wrong though.
