what does the bottom end of the block have to do with the airflow of the head? i have stock head on the car minus the valve springs and retainers. maybe i am missing something..

this isn't the first green I've tuned to 400+awhp, My own car did 405 in 90* weather and quite a few others even higher. All had stock head/shorty

No-one said it had anything to do with the head but it explains why the car is capable of 30 psi on pump gas thats all

Why does everyone question the boost on ever Mellon tune post? 30psi is that high considering how much boost people get out of the stock 9 turbo. THe biggest factor is head studs to keep it from lifting.

So would you say its pretty much wasting the EVOgreen turbo??
Its just I've got plans for 'later', but want the turbo first so can get an improvement now, and get greater improvement later down the track too lolz

So don't wanna get a turbo that will be good for what I have now, then later having to change it to another one (but i guess can't really have the best from both worlds....)

you don't need a built shorty or head to run 30psi on pump, just a good tune and the right supporting mods

the green would be of little benefit to you now and if you have an 9 turbo already, the green isn't that much better anyway.

I think i'll wait until I'm ready for the full deal lolz

Loving the results that the green can provide without going all out red style!!

yeah if you are on the 9 turbo skip the green and go to the red. if the red was out when i was looking at turbos i would have purchased the red.

I agree...the green seems to be about 20hp better than the 9 turbo, hardly worth the trouble/expense. The red is much better bang for the buck. The red wasn't available when I bought my green years ago or I would have been all over it.

not really, just a bigger injector and the price on those are the same or close to it.
