Carlos's TTP Tuned 501whp FPRed, stock motor!

So Carlos came back in today with a little more guts, determined to push his stock block Evo just a little bit further. If you have read about his car in another thread, you would have seen him make about 420whp on pump 93 and 470whp at 34psi on the stock block using Sunoco 116.

We took the liberty of updating his ROM's today with all the latest patches and periphery bits. We noticed as soon as he was on the dyno the EGR line was already popped off the throttle body. We went ahead and looped them, rendering the EGR system useless which is better for the car anyhow, just not emissions.

In the periphery bits we disabled his EGR and Evap system, P0300 misfire code, common annoyances with the Evo. Since the EGR system was disabled, turning off this periphery bit would not trigger the check engine light for this reason. It didn't appear that V7 Tephra was yet released for his rom so we used V5 with our TTP ECU programming to allow him to build 15-20psi off the line with the FPRed as he had mentioned that he had a hard time launching the car.

In the past we have done this for our bigger turbo brethren and it has allowed them to launch with the same or better 60' times as when they had the smaller stock turbo.

Anyhow after completing these ECU updates and mods, we freshened up his pump tune to 421whp on 93 and moved to the heavy spring in the Forge UNOS manual boost controller. This allowed for a peak of 37.5psi on his stock engine using Sunoco 116 to raise the detonation point allowing his 2006 MR to achieve over 500hp to the wheels.

Here is the dynosheet results of Racefuel and pumpgas on the EvoRed 80mm cover:

Just straight nasty. 35lbs of boost.... I need to know when these cars roll on the dyno.

Will a refresh tune better a previous tune the new ROM patches?

Why does everyone ask for boost plots? I don't even watch my boost gauge, I just wanna go fast and make power.

I'm doing a comparison to see how much boost pressure people are holding out the top end with different mods. It led me to look for issues why I couldn't hit 30psi @ 6k... turned out my BOV was leaking terribly. I always like to see how different camshafts affect boost pressure as well....or methanol

BTW... I DON'T EVEN HAVE A BOOST GAUGE! lol I do have a 4 bar map sensor though

That's a lot of boost, don't you think Carlos should switch to FP's new oil line setup?
