Josh's back for 507whp stock block FPRed!
So I've been working the last nine days straight trying to get caught up pumping these Evo's out of here. If you have read some of our other features within the Evo 8-9 section you may have seen Josh's car on pump gas put out 424whp on 93 on the EvoRed on 720cc Denso's, Kelford 272's, Coil on plug ignition and supporting mods.
According to our direction, Josh decided to move forward with the next stage of performance before he relocated back home in VA. We had advised him that the next best step for him was the addition of a high quality methanol injection system.
Enter the Aquamist HFS-1. I spent much of the day Sunday installing his network of wiring and sensors the Aquamist system employs to keep taps on the health of the system, display methanol flow volume to the gauge and precisely meter and control the injection of the methanol. In a few hours the system was complete and he had about 900cc's of injector duty cycle triggered meth injection on tap for when he rolls into the throttle at high boost.
Once completed we move to the dynotuning where we tuned the car up to the maximum setting on the soft spring 30psi or so and here are the results after we decided that we had met our goal for the car. 507whp.

Very nice and smooth. I'm not sure what kind of driver the customer is but HFS-1 to most of the meth customers? I'm still trying to deciede if I need to go as big with an HFS-6. Im not sure what the advantage would be especially since I would be flashing back and forth myself.

There is little difference to the HFS-6. The 6 is a more precision minded unit. The same pump, the same pressure, the same injector nozzles etc. The difference is the injector amp which will pulsate the methanol flow to mimic the fuel injectors so they all flow the same. If you richen the ECU mapping, it will in turn richen the duty cycle of the methanol spray. The pump also comes with an accumulator to hold pressure ready so the pump does not have to build up pressure every time its is called upon to do so.
