There's so much testing and data to support my post, large intake manifold, larger throttle body, stock port/head = best low/mid range...
You got own by your stupid post claiming that the 'supposed' lack of these factors were the primary reason why your kit sucked so bad in boost threshold compared to the Full-Race setup...
Now you're telling us it's low volume runners...? Make up your mind, but good try

I was waiting for ken to pop in. Every FR post it seems he pops up to call everything FR post to be BS. All the talk of how you don't like the small runner manifold b/c it drops off in high rpm's in this and other post. I think we are lucky to have a company make not just one nice manifold for the evo but also a large runner manifold so the owner can pick the right one for the job.

[QUOTE=Full-Race Geoff;7461993]this build has what I consider a psycho powerband for a true street car -- 200lbft @ ~3600rpm and 500 lbft @ 5000rpm, then 600lbft @ 5300rpm.
red line = twinscroll 40R (new setup) compared to blue line = singlescroll 37R (old setup)
the thing to take away here is the big difference in "area under the curve" from his new round of mods (turbokit, head, ignition) The approximate gains with his new setup are
2000rpm +5hp, +20tq
3000rpm +20whp, +40tq
4000rpm +50whp, +65tq
5000rpm +150whp, +150tq
6000rpm +60whp, +60tq
7000rpm +30whp, +5tq
from the owner:
Your comparison is very deceptive. Does the new setup spool quicker?.. yes
However it is very obvious that the comparison was made at different boost levels, yet you do not point this out in your post. With that said, are the gains/area under the curve that you had mentioned valid? Absolutely not. I can turn up the boost and get a better area under the curve.

yes the 37R was on the 2.4L as wel
difficult to believe? what is so difficult to believe about two totally different turbo systems with totally different mass flow rates / pressure ratios having different results? ill have tony at UMS post a boost log when the car is back for the pumpgas tune...

I saw the Evo last weekend in Scottsdale. Sounds and looks great.
Here's a video Ksig419 took.

I'm not sure what the boost was at redline. When my car was dyno'd I was actually out of town on a business trip. I will ask the shop and post up.
To clear it up, I have no probs with Peakboost and their kit. It worked good and made power. I just wanted to upgrade my setup is all.
**Shameless Plug** Check out the for sale section, I am going to post up a bunch of parts I have sitting around in my garage, including my old turbo kit, downpipes, etc.
