Nick's FP Red Built Evo 9!

Nick has stopped down to check out our facility a few times throughout the beginning of the Summer to talk about possible setups and what we would need to do to get his car running well. Well last week that is exactly what we did!

An FP Red was on order with all the supporting mods!

After installing Kelford 272 w/ valvesprings, precision 1,000 cc injectors, and adding some arp rod bolts/head studs for added insurance I went to work on the dyno!

Mods:

-FP Red (80mm Cover)
-Kelford 272 w/ valvesprings
-Ported Intake/Exhaust Manifold
-Open Dump o2
-Ets IC w/ Piping
-Full Tbe
-Precision 1,000cc Injectors
-Greddy Profec B spec 2
-Arp rod bolts
-Arp head studs
-Stock Ecu
-Stock Bottom End

Dyno Sheet:

The car base lined 333whp/270wtq @ 20psi and finished off with a solid 416whp/350wtq @ 27psi on straight 93 Octane.

Next up may be some Alcohol Injection to get Nick into the 450whp levels on the stock motor. That is about how far we like to push these cars on our dyno with a 1.0 CF.

Enjoy your car Nick and see you soon!

Yes, we get that often and this is why I have tuned a few cars on a 1.2 correction factor to show some higher numbers from time to time. Our dyno does read low in standard form which is on a 1.0 correction factor. Add 15-18% and you will go from 416whp to 478-490whp depending on the dynojet.

A properly setup fp red car will make 500whp on a dynojet around 29/30psi.

I'd love to see how another 400whp fp red car would do against this one coming off of a dynojet

I was starting the pull around 3,500rpmon the dyno. The car makes peak torque at 4,400rpm in 4th gear verified through evoscan on the street.

He also has ported Intake Manifold, and Kelford cams which will add some lag compared to your unported/stock cammed setup.

Yes. The way the dyno is setup, bigger powered cars get hairy on this type of dyno and 4th gear will give you more control over the quick reaction time needed in-case of an aborted pull.
