I hear what you're saying, but you specifically state that this is a FLORIDA car...

The AEM makes more power than the stock ECU which I found odd that this customer would want to take a step backwards DB Test and start up's are flawless with the triggerdisc upgrade...

Just offering some more food for thought...

Nice work. I preach heavily for people to mod their car but keep "fun to drive" a high priority. Unfortunately most just dont get it. WAAAY to easy to turn these cars into dull boys. Most shops just dont have the experience to set car up correctly. This should be a sticky but it wont be.

I think we all know that there is no way the AEM is superior as far as daily "fun" drivability compared to the stock ecu...

So why gain 30-40 hp for some setbacks....its not warranted at this power level really.

Which is exactly what this customer wanted. A fun daily driven car setup correctly. Would the AEM have worked correctly, sure..

I don't agree and anyone in my circles will tell you the same, so your blanket statement is not accurate. As long as you have the triggerdisc mod, an EVO will start up first crank, every time - much better than stock! And everyday driveability with an AEM (in the right tuners hands) is flawless...

11 degrees up top, which is good on a 2.3 ...

I have the AEM on my car, with an intake manifold, same turbo, same head, etc....

i made 40 more PEAK whp on the time attack car and 30 more wtq, which i think this car would pick up with an intake manifold and such...

the other stock ecu car i mentioned earlier is going to beat them both...

its all in what you want..... but we LOVE the stock ecu.... and ive never had a client say " man i wish I had a standalone"

Awesome numbers Chad!! Is there gonna be a Fall Dyno Day this year? Ive been trying to keep an eye open for it and never sa anything about it. I thought it would have happened already.

Im seriously interested in coming up here soon to finish dialing in the fuel and timing on this SD patch. There are a ton of deer out now. That are all in rut. Im done tuning the car on the street. Its really close now and fuel trims are staying close .

If they do, are you going to dyno your car again?
