I would like to see a test where a shop takes a SD car and dynos it, then just clamp the maf back on there. This totally takes the tune out of the equation and you are just testing the effects of the MAF housing itself on horsepower.
I feel like there is no benefit to it beyond that. I personally would much rather measure the air flow into the motor then estimate it. Thats my .02

IMO getting rid of that damn MAF sensor, if nothing else, makes the engine bay cleaner at the very least.
On a side note, badass numbers on that setup. I think it's funny that basically all he has for supporting mods is fuel and a fmic and yet you were able to make 464whp out of it on a .63 nonetheless. Goodjob!
BTW is there a reason you decided to not go any higher than 27.5psi on these runs? Do the stock cams inhibit much power growth beyond that?
Just curious, I know nearly nothing about tuning so sorry if it's a noobish question.

I'm only on 27.5 psi because i'm on stock headstuds too, and have a fear that i'm going to lift the head at anything higher. i'll be putting in some headstuds and get a retune shortly with the v7. I'm gonna try to run 32 psi through it and see how that goes. After the tune, I want to somehow connect the MAF and see it it changes the flow. Will update soon!
