Is that the same price difference between the two as a straight up purchase?

On the CBRD site it lists the Full as $1,250 w/ core, which leads me to believe that the B would run $1,850 w/ core.

Is that correct?
He said they'll be priced identical

basically,

the cost to produce them new will be the same the compressor is a LITTLE bit more expensive but we are absorbing that

So they both will be 1740 new (ported)

the upgrade from a BBK to a BBK-B (replace seals if needed, rebalance the assembly, machine the comp cover, re-assemble) will be apprx 600.00 or a little less

if that makes sense!

I can't imagine having even more power. I did an uphill pull on a 20% grade this weekend and it was insanity.

I JUST got my BBK-Full and Im still in shock over the amount of pull it delivers. Now this is a very exciting new option which im sure will bring alot of smiles to alot of people sitting in Recaro seats.

The Black is badass, no doubt about it, but come on people. If it really spooled so quickly, FP would have no reason to produce the Green.
First off, on a IX with a modded MIVEC cam gear and a good set of MIVEC cams like the S2s you can get a black to spool before, wait for it, wait for it, I'm going to say it, 4k... Sure you can get even lower spool on the Green or Red but for an extra 50-100hp and only 200rpm lost in spool, I would have to say you would be the only idiot to not jump on board. Unless of course you say you autx and you need that spool, but I'm sure you don't!

Just to let you know, "people" will "rave" on and on about certian things when they need the sales to go up. The Black speaks for itself and Robert doesn't need to expand or get more info out on it... However, the Green needed a bit of a push because it is not a huge hit due to Chad already having a lot of those customers. fyi Great turbo imo but a lot of the people that needed a turbo like that got Chad's BBK Full before Robert came out with the HTAGreen, not a bad turbo nor Roberts fault what-so-ever.

Maybe I am missing something, but do you have any data to back up your claims?

I did a quick browse through the dyno results section and the couple of black graphs I saw, peak torque was at like ~5k on a 2.0L, whereas peak torque on a BBK full was at like ~4k on a 2.0L.

Do you have links to these before 4k graphs on a 2.0L motor? or are your referring to a black making power that fast on a larger motor?

There will be dynos coming out soon. I am refuring to any motor. If some of the tests that are currently going on, work out to be true, all MIVEC cars have the ability to increase spool supstantial to what we has see currently...

A good reference point is looking where a motor crosses 200hp. The Black, depending on setup will be around 3900k. Red at 3600k, and the HTAGreen at 3400k. Of course this is all platform/mod dependent but it looks really close to that. Here are some of the graphs to compare, all on stock motor.

FP Black on a stock motor (would gain over 100rpms of spool if on E85 like the Red and Green below because of the timing at spoolup fyi, so not 100% comparison but couldn't find a stock motor FP Black on E85...)

FP Red stock motor

FP HTAGreen stock motor

Sorry for of topic Chad, I'm done posting in this thread. Please don't ask me anymore questions about the FP turbos or spooll. If anyone has a question post a thread or shoot a pm. Sorry and back on topic.

Great turbo Chad! If I wasn't shooting for 700+hp I would have went BBK-B, but I don't think the BBK-B will get me close...
