Drifto, do you have pics of the ts housing and also if you have any pics of your head work that would be awesome. What is the lift on your cams. I can't remember and google is not helping me right now.

I've driven Drifto's car just recently, and it has impressive response with power deliver that feels very linear and free of flat spots. It's about as 'perfect' as a 2.0L street car can be. One thing I always look for is where the 200whp mark is crossed, and this one does that at 3700rpm, which makes it feel very responsive and never 'dead'. You touch the pedal and it moves with authority. It wants to break all 4 tires loose in spirited street driving.

My guess is there's probably another 20-30whp peak power in the turbo with longer duration cam timing, but that would compromise the spool somewhat and it's just too good the way it is now. I wouldn't change a thing.

That flat torque from 5K-6K is really nice, and it holds well to redline.

What sort of timing values were you able to get at peak torque and out the top?

Car along with laptop are at the shop; from memory peak torque timing is around 5-6deg and max timing is 18deg from about 7700 up.

That is pretty close to what I run out the top, at 28 psi and a few degrees more at peak torque. Your powerband is really nice, I have envy.

I will have to give 30-33 psi a try just for kicks, the track tune will stay at 28 psi.

A little bit of a bump from the past, but in reading all the data and talking to Ted recently I am getting to where I would like to test a twin scroll T4 setup with my current motor. I think I have grokked the concept at this point and can really tell the difference between shifts unless I NLTS and pull a full shadow ninja on the shift.

To throw this in the mix (nothing more than a fair comparison), in order to make 300 ft lbs with a single scroll .82 A/r 3586 at 4100 took MIVEC and a 2.4l. To that I saw well done Walker making it happen with a 2.0 and VIII

So how would this kit do on a 2.3l/2.4 block? Would the T3 1.06 a/r housing be too small?

Thanks! It made 375 lb/ft at 4K and 300whp at 4.1K. Did you mean hp and not lb/ft?

Errr sorry, yeah Actually in looking at it, I was thinking whp, wrote ft lbs and had looked at ft lbs on mine. You are totally kicking my *** at 3700-4100. I am not 300whp until 4400 and 375 ft lbs until 4540rpm.

Take that Biatch!!

I know you know this, but until I get too an actual dyno I can't say whether these numbers are a solid rep of what's really going on, but the VDR is a great tuning tool for people like myself who do not have easy access to a dyno. After posting this I tweaked the ign curve a little more and picked up over 50lb/ft and 25+whp with a couple of deg added in the 4.5-6.6 regions. I'll need to find that log and I'll post it up.

Nice work! I'm glad someone actually pushed this turbo to it's potential. 57 l/min, not to bad for a gt 30 based turbo. I have one on my snowmobile
