EVO IX HTA Green GSC S2 Cams on E85

Like many of us I was very undecided between the BBK and FP HTA Green. Having experience with both the BBK and HTA Green I asked Mike @ AWDMotorsports what he would do if he was in my situation. Here is what he said, The HTA green is where its at.. it spools IDENTICAL to stock Ix turbo and its way easier to hit 10s in the 1/4. For your goals you dont need laggier red or black.. Trust me on this.. Go GREEN!!

Mike is by far the most helpful Vendor on here hands down.

I received the HTA Green 2 days later, put it on and never looked back. I couldn't be happier with my decision.

I then received an awesome tune from Shane@DB Performance in Rogers, MN a few weeks ago. Final Numbers were 431whp/392wtrq on E70 when we ran out of fuel. Keep in mind, this is on a Dyno Dynamics. The last graph is at a CF of 1.17 which is what it should make on a Dynojet. This car is an absolute blast to drive!!! I think it is the perfect sized turbo for the street.

Fp HTA Green turbo
Fp intake with HKS filter
GSC S2 cams and Beehive Springs
Mil.Spec 65mm TB
Ported and Coated Intake Manifold
Turbo XS Front Mount
SpoolinUP COP
Buschur Exhaust
PTE 1000cc injectors
Single Walbro
ETS LICP
Fujita UICP
Stock IX crushed BOV

Very nice power? What are you using for boost control?

Nice numbers. Can't wait for Mike@AWDMotorSports to do the BBK vs HTA Green test.

I have not done any comparisons between a DD and a DJ or MD. I'm a bit surprised that a CF 1.17 approximates DJ numbers. Always interesting to consider spool characteristics. I think its safe to say that the powerband of the HTA green starts about 300-400 rpm later than a stock IX turbo (for comparison, my IX hits full boost at 3400 rpm in 3rd gear), but it looks like if the rpms are in the powerband, the HTA Green spools up as quickly as a stock IX turbo.

ditto, very interested in this i'm wondering if the bbk makes slightly more power than the hta green, or if the hta green makes equal power while still spooling quicker. hopefully they do the test on pump 93 without crazy boost

What do stock IX's make on this dyno? A Bushur fuel rail will help a bit with the fueling.

I've seen a few posts like this lately and I have to scratch my head. I understand why the HTA Green should (in theory) have the potential for more power, considering it flows more air, but where the "HTA Green spools faster than BBK Full" thing is coming from, I have no idea.

Regardless, the OP's car must be a total monster on the street so congrats! Mine should have very similar numbers soon. Can't wait.

the correction factor was changed so the OP could see #s comparable to a DJ.
(which in my opinion isnt accurate since they operate differently anyways)

BUT a dyno dynamics w/out correction DOES read extremely low.
