That's great top end power, good luck at the shootout and at the next mile race!

Mike
Since most of you guys are running AEM's or Haltech's have you thought of running a magnetic cam sensor pick up similar to Tony Palo's setup on his Integra?

seems like if your cam signal is wandering and your ECU's fault detection algorithms are not superb... you would get a wandering RPM signal...or possibly a drop to 0RPM or double....or triple your input RPM to your maps.

Depending on how the software is setup on the ECU...if it holds the last value when off the map or if it extrapolates... could mean the difference between a big mess and a slight variation in fuel/ignition advance.

Scary.

Dave care to comment on the cam sensor issues? I know you've puked a few engines from cam sensor failures with the AEM.

No I'm Yusuf, I have the 9 second street car EVO 2 with full interior, 6 point cage exhaust, fmic, and 16" all season tires. Reichen's has 1 seat, air to water, full cage, aero work, and runs the mile on 17" RE 01's. My car makes 880 awhp and his makes over 1125 awhp.

It does have a divided T4 Shearer Fabrications header with a divided turbine housing.

Sorry to go off topic here, but its rare that I get a chance to put screen names to faces lol. I'm not sure if you remember but a large group of us ended up having dinner (Margaritaville maybe) at the shootout several years back, at the time I had a red 2g with Hoosier QTPs running low 11's. These Evo's along with John Shepherd, Brent Rau, and several others provided the motivation I needed to make MAP what it is today, just wanted to say thank you

Someone asked for cam specs. I think Mike runs the cams i have in my "new" engine the old Crane Billet cams(along with Shep and Rau). They are 280 duration and 12.3mm lift and are well known for tossing rocker arms . I think there have been some issues trying to replicate these cams. Crane must have had some interesting machines, too bad they are out of business. I think Mike has a spare set of Evo8 billet Cranes for sale. Awesome numbers as always Mike and nice post Yusuf. I always love the videos you make ,gotta love the music on some of them!
