Yep. CBRD run a very tight ship when it comes to that stuff.

Chad, I'm definitely not complaining. My car is a monster. But I cannot help but wonder how much power the OP would make running the same boost as me. He would be well past 400 whp on 93.

The reason this worries me is that I sort of lied in my previous post. The OP's setup is actually milder than mine. He has an unported BBK and factory manifold, I have a ported BBK and Buschur ported manifold. He has a stock ignition, I have a SpoolinUp COP ignition. He has stock headstuds, I have ARP headstuds. And so on and so forth.

I'd be lying if I said I'm not a little concerned. My knowledge of tuning is admittedly basic, but shouldn't less boost on the same turbo = less power?

every car is once again, different...

we see a difference of 10-15whp on completely stock vehicles here, and weather makes a TREMENDOUS difference when it comes to these things.

There is nothing to be of concern about... for one thing.. head studs dont add power just security... .. the COP i dont feel adds any power either from what we've tested.... and in some cases like our TA car... we lost whp.

The other thing.. fuel... two different cars... two different times of year, two different stations...

cheers

My IX was dynoed with full Turbo back exhaust and intake and made 25 whp more than the IX SE that went on the dyno immediately after me with the same mods. We must not forget that these are mass produced cars and these slight differences are too be expected. Remember when the R35 GTR was introduced how some cars dynoed at 470 whp and some at 500whp.

Wink

I think all to often people see WHP and they think it is measured with a ruler. It is the combined parts on a car at that time. Like Chad said their are countless things that can make these numbers go up or down. The big one being the air, remember a engine is a fancy air pump so any changes to the air will skew the results. I also think with most of these cars being driven on the street you could not feel the differance of 20 whp.

Blitz, dont worry man like previously said every car has a different fingerprint a different personality. Weather is funny too...my previous setup if compared the dyno sheets I lost power adding cams and a straight pipe....obviously not happening. First tune(winter) second tune w/cams (dead heat of summer). Your setup is great and most of all reliable as is mine.
Boosted91t, very nice numbers welcome to the brotherhood of the BBK. Get that clutch in there and you will love it...Excedy Twin works great for me.

Why? We are nowhere near the limit. If anything besides headstuds maybe rod bolts would be next on the list if more power is needed.

Heading to 75-80 dragway this friday. First time at the track with the car since I don't do any drag racing. Anyway I will post results, please pray for my stock clutch.

Update! We were heading to 75-80 and they shut down due to high winds. Determined we went to Cecil county. Not to post excuses but it puts my numbers and the power this setup makes in perspective. I forgot my laptop at home so I wasnt able to set my 2 step, I was just revving at 4k no boost and slipping the clutch and hitting 4th gear limiter right at the trap. My clutch slipped soo bad the first few passes, I'm talking about right to the limiter. I was about to head home, but figured its only my clutch they make new ones, screw it. I let her cool off for awhile and was able to knock out a 1.8 60' and 11.69 at 117 mph. and backed it up. Not too bad for my first time at the track. Slips will be up tomorrow.

Congrats! I don't do much drag racing but that seems like a pretty decent time for your first time and with a slipping clutch.
