Finally had a chance to button the car up. Had to do some thinking to get a clean install with the Synapse dv, as I didn't like the way they wanted to just jam the push lock line in your stock rubber vacuum line that goes from your im to your dv. Made a nice adapter, problem solved. The Exedy stage 2 hd is awesome. Coming from the stock clutch, the exedy is soo much smoother shifting. It is a little harsh when you are pulling out as you need to slip it a little bit, but a small trade off in comparison with what this clutch can hold. I tried rolling on 1st gear, it just blew the tires off, I tried rolling on 2nd same thing. Looks like traction is gone for the year in pa, 40 deg roads
I need to look into stiffening something up in the rear end, when I use the no lift, it sounds like my dash is gonna come out and hit me. I guess I never experienced this as my clutch was probably slipping the entire time. Also the Synapse dv is definately a nice unit, I have it set to pull right now and I am experiencing surge so I need to play with the preload. Arp headstuds going in this week

Newbie here, have my car for two weeks with similar setup
kelford 272
arp headstuds
cbrd bbk full turbo
ets ic pipes
buschur street fmic
ported exhaust manifold
walbro
pte 780cc injectors
perrin intake
grimmspeed bcs
IX diverter
What will the Synapse dv do for my car?
Also, stock tranny still holding for the moment.
Any suggestions for new tranny when time comes?
Thanks
Mark

There was a possibility my stock dv was leaking so I decided to upgrade to the Synapse and do arp head studs to push my setup to the next level. Many people run in excess of 25 psi with the stock dv but I prefer to just upgrade so I do not have to question whether its leaking or not. You should never need a new trans at that power level unless you are having a syncro problem. The stock block and trans are suprisingly strong as you will find when reading on the forums. But if you have a stock clutch you might want to consider upgrading awhile. If you want a rebuilt trans anyway Jacks , shep or bushwacker trans. Hear nothing but good from all 3 of those, might look into the ultimate ratio.
