400whp FP White Dyno on 93 (The Shop CT)

Many of you know that i changed my turbo setup on the car, since i didn't want to just continue with drag racing and definitely i wasn't willing to put a cage in the car...

The FS635 was a monster of a turbo and my QM clutch was great for the strip but with horrible road manners, especially in New York...

So i decided to move to a more stockish setup that would be more drivable and would allow me to race the car in some SCCA events and take it to some of the road courses...

So we removed the FS635 kit, the 1200cc injectors, the twin pumper and the AEM and we installed a brand new FP White with 18psi wg stock manifold, 780cc injectors, the stock ecu and a ACT clutch...

We kept the built block...

The car was tuned at the Shop and John did an excellent job... I had almost forgotten how nice the car is to drive every day with torque everywhere as soon as you touch the gas pedal...

The dyno is on 1.2 cf, the gas is 93 octane

Engine bay

Boost was spiking at around 26psi then dropping to less than 20psi, since i currently use a Hallman mbc... This will change to a grimmspeed unit in a couple of weeks to keep more boost up top....

For comparison's sake i also did a VDR log (440lbs is correct, two people in the car, and the EVO VIII is selected because i have the 3rd, and 4th from it)...

The comparison is my friend's black EVO X (356awhp on the DD@1.2cf) which runs 12.3s all day long full weight...

I will update as soon as i get the Grimmspeed and compare the gains up top with the different boost curve... Ohhh yeah... We ll see a 30psi too...

Overall the FP White is the closest turbo to the stock unit, with very good results... I actually expected a bit lower numbers, but it seems that the FP White likes my block combo, as the FS635 did as well....

Ohhh yes... Still stock unported head, stock throttle body, stock intake manifold, stock exhaust manifold, even OEM turbo inlet pipe... Change to the stock filter box assembly, it could be the ultimate sleeper...

Wow. Can't complain about 300 lb-ft at under 3400 rpm.

True the torque is rediculus the way it hits! And coming from a setup with the max torque at around 6500rpm the difference is night and day!

Shark, seeing my friend's evo x, 400 is very doable with a few things. The only downside of the evo x is the weight...

Yes I saw the thread. Very clean car.

I am anxious to try the grimmspeed bc too. My shop swears that the car will pick up more power everywhere, especially up top since we will have ultimate control on boost than the manual boost controller...

Great results and heck of a sleeper. I am interested in further information about your set up. Can you please post your full modifications list including the engine build information.
