Well, finally got all the parts in and set up the new oil catch setup last night. That Greddy can was alright for low boost, and was catching some blow-by but I am pretty sure my biggest issue was the PCV and high boost levels.
So I ripped out the PCV and blocked it off at the intake manifold. Bought the -6AN lines for the valve cover from STM (very nice pieces ) and the lines and fittings from Jegs for a decent price. It looks much better, the can takes up less space, is far more functional, and it cleaned up the blow by and exhaust for sure. At WOT I could already tell there was less of a hint of blow by in the exhaust.
The catch I bought is similar to Buschurs:
However, instead of putting it back in the dipstick, I have a valve closed so when I change the oil I can just open it and drain it into the drain pan. That, and instead of just hose clamps, I used NPT -> -6AN adapters and then -6AN SS line all the way. I am not sure how I feel about putting blow by back in the oil pan of the car, often it is milky and contaminated with water, so I thought this to be the safer approach. That and I am running out of space up by the dipstick.
Thanks for all the compliments everyone. I am filling it up on Ethanol one last time before I keep 93 for the winter in the tank. I will post up a log of the RPM vs boost and a VDR table. Stay posted.
