Near bone stock evo 8

As the title states, this is a near bone stock evo 8 RS. The only mods are TBE (map WG dump DP), fuel pump, Works DV, and intake. This is tuned with V7 on ECU PSI controlled boost with Omni 4 bar and Grimmspeed 3 port solenoid.

This car was fun to tune due to the 'stockness' of it. Makes it a bit of a challenge to try to extract every bit of power out of it without running into knock issues.

This tune was done on 21-22psi on 93 octane. It's not super cool like some of the recent projects out there, but it does show what can be done to a stockish car and make it just a bit more fun to drive.

Standard CF, occupants weight accounted for along with ambient temp.

Edited mod list....

EDIT: Please see post 19 and beyond for the final results. Mind you, the only "power" adders are TBE, air intake (which we all know does hardly anything, and a 'cough' fuel pump. The other mods are purely for tuning purposes. I have never been an "Oh yeah, well, take this" type of guy, but for some reason, this really stirred me up. I just felt like my tuning capabilities were being discounted along with the other factors. Sorry for coming across as a d1(k. Enjoy.

With the stock Evo 8 turbo? How much weight did you compensate for the passengers?

im sorry man... but i just got tuned by jestr a couple of days ago... and my car is a 03gsr with the 9.8housing... ain't NO WAY ur getting past 300whp (safely on 93) without upgrading ur factory fuel pump... and with just intk/exhst at 21-22psi on 93oct its near impossible to pass even 260whp... it took me 27psi to hit 295whp on 93oct... and i have the same mods as u... with the exception of L/UICP

Yes, the drivers weight, my weight, along with the groceries in the trunk were accounted for. The cold weather was accounted for too. He does have a fuel pump and a Works BOV, sorry to add that in the "mod" list. Didn't think that was relavant to the power gained, but whatever.

I'm not really sure why you guys think that this isn't believabe...I have all the factors for you to look at. No doctoring what so ever.

The little evo 8 that could... Yes stock turbo and longblock.

I vote for people to stop using 1.09 CF.

Shoud an even 1.00 be used instead?

Only if you want a more realistic number.

CF 1.09 has been tested to read within 1-3% of a real dynojet. If you want dynojet numbers, use CF 1.09.

OP, is this a one run fluke or do you have multiple logs that dyno around the same?

Also, you used weather CF, which mean the uncorrected numbers would be higher.....

Now Im skeptical.

Wow. Despite the fact I have same mods + cams this 8 makes 60whp more than me at same boost...I'm skeptical.

I bet it's fun to drive tho

There is only one pull on that log and I did make a mistake.... I accidentally put in 430lbs for passengers, when it should be 330. Even with that correction, it says 330hp to the ground.

Here's the log...

Thanks for the compliments on the tq line and such...jeez. My flame suit wasn't ready for this one

Do more pulls and see if you can repeat the numbers easily.

I'll definitely try to do some more pulls for a couple of reasons...

The pull that's posted is the first 'tuned' one that hasn't been tweaked very well in certain areas that I would prefer.

I'll keep ya guys posted if you care...shouldn't be that hard to get some more logs...he is my neighbor after all lol

If it's the same as originally posted, I hope a few will shut up. If it's worse than posted, I will apologize for posting a 'wrong' graph, albeit not on purpose.
