596 whp & 511 ft/lbs of tire shredding torque

We were very happy with the results we obtained with this Evo 9 MR.

The car came to us with a engine knock and ran extremly lean. The engine problem was a rod bearing issue, and the fuel issue was traced back to a loose clamp on the fuel feed line coming from the fuel pump going to the Buschur daul pump hanger. We ended up rebuilding the motor and installed a new turbo, a PTE Billet 6265 dual ceramic ball bearing turbo. Car made 596 whp & 511 ft/lbs on E85 @ 33psi. The car is a monster on the steet with 511 ft/lbs! Car was tuned on a AEM EMS.

Heres a link to this engine build tread - https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mi...intenance.html

This next dyno sheet is from a 04 Evo 8 we tuned here @ Boomba. The car was running 1200 cc injectors and a single 255 fuel pump. For some reason this car was tuned on E85 @ like 20 psi by another shop even when he didnt have the fuel system to support E85. He did not want to upgrade his fuel system so I talked him into tuning it on race gas. We ended up using 100 oct because he can get it close to his house. This evo 8 was running a built 2.0L with a FF PTE 6765 non billet.

The car made 562 whp & 402 ft/lbs at 27-28 psi. We ran out of fuel so we had to leave it at 28 psi. I went to the track with the customer about 1 week after it was tuned, and the car ran 10.60s - 10.70s all day long on steet tires!! This car was also tuned on a AEM EMS.

Can you rescan the graphs? the quality is horrible. Great power coming out of that turbo tho for sure.

Wow those are very impressive! Congrats! Both Cars spool like a champ, 4th gear pulls??

I have seen a more and more people recommending the 6265 over the 6262. Can you let me know what you seen or why they went with the 6265?

All the pulls were done in 3rd gear!! The 6265 spools a little slower then the 6262, but the differance is so small on most cars its not even noticeable. Peak power is around 40 hp more then the 6262. We couldnt get our hands on a 6262 for 3 weeks thats why we went to the 6265, but after using the 6265 I will be recomending it over the 6262.

Great numbers. Did this customer beef up the trany and TC too on this MR? or still stock?

so the 6265 is spooling almost identical to the 6262? and making more power?

The first Evo has GSC stage 2's. Power peaked @ around 6300 which is really low for a 600 hp car, but with a more aggressive cam the top end wouldn't suffer as much.

The second Evo was using Jun 272's, which as you can see has great top end power!

No not a 6 speed, its got a Shep REM treated 5 speed and also a Shep transfercase.

Wow great numbers. Im a little lost on the e85 upgrade. I thought you didnt have to upgrade fuel lines etc to run e85? Theres a lot of people in Cali running e85 on the stock fuel system for a few years now. Maybe im confused? Anyway both graphs look amazing man. Great job otherwise!

Even at near stock power levels you need lots of fuel to run e85. By the time you're into the 600awhp range the stock system isn't able to flow enough e85 since you're using significantly more fuel and you run risks when maxing out the pump.

Thanks, evo8 951 & fqjdmct9a

A 255 fuel pump is good till around 450 whp on a E85 car.
A 255 fuel pump is good till around 600 whp on a Gasoline car.
Its the same way with injectors.

The car we are talking about made 562 whp on gasoline and that would not have been possible on E85. Not due to the fuel lines but due to his single fuel pump and injectors that are to small for E85, at his power level.

Yeah see i was majorly lostn im sorry when you said upgrading the fuel system i was figuring rail, fpr, stock lines, etc.. My mistake. Lol

Im deff aware of needing a double pumper and much larger injectors for that kind of power on e85. Sorry for the confusion. Your numbers are awesome if i might say.
