I got only a few cts of 1 knock @ 12.6-7afr on a bitterly cold night. Im guessing, that the cool air helped resist knock. i wasnt running out of tuned cells or any thing, spool, mid and topend were all off consistently by approx 8%. I have to have overlooked something key here.. Ive noticed when pulling timing AFR doesnt spike/nor dip too dramatically, but it seems that once you get to the point of adding a degree across a mass of the map, that 1* can be huge. Does this sound true, or did I miss the bigger picture? Either way, it threw me for a loop when I took that first log!

heres gettin the fuel dialed back in with 12* up top. Still looks to be missing a large portion of midrange.

well made a little more progress. I got some new gaskets in, have not installed them yet(presence of a leak @ manifold/head). Going to put it on a real dyno in one week @ stm. Im starting to get the hang of this. Its a frustrating experience but im making my self do it. 2 third gear pulls, and 1 fourth gear pull.

looks like your getting it.

i just hooked up all my suff (4 bar, lc1 into ecu) and had to get everything working via parallels on a mac.

what wideband are you using? i didnt make any pulls logging wideband yet, but my one pull to 7k reurned 350whp/290tq...looks like i can make some improvements.

Im using an AEM wired into teh ECU . what psi returned that power? I am running 25.x peak psi. Im also about 11.3-11.7 thru the midrange tapering to 11.0ish by redline. Id like to get the fueling dialed in more, and be 11.5 solid the whole way and then dial my power back with timing if possible. Still a fair bit of fine tuning to be done with this timing map, and Im still struggling with drivability under 2750rpms. Im not sure if its teh cams, mivec, or timing but light throttle sucks below that. I should do the closed loop mod so i can lean it out a touch under cruise and light throttle. Im trying to get what I have here accomplished before I implement that.

My numbers above were on about 23.5 peak tapering to 18-19 ( which annoys the he'll out of me). It was only 1 pull tho.

I need to do some pulls with the wideband now, I hav a feeling it might be an odd map since it was done without a wideband (canned tuned just flayed on by one of the mods here for the po)

im curious tho because my lc1 is reading 7.35 as a idle/warmup load so it may be effed/set wrong

i should have also asked for a map trace/log lol.

on the stock dynojet correction in VD, my car is making ~335/315 on 24psi and what my wideband reports as ~10.5:1 since i have only smoothed timing and not done any fuel work due to said dead wide band sensor and upped the spool range a little.

my original tb seals are starting to get me tho...

your still on the stock IC?

yea stock intercooler, Im using VD uncorrected. Ill throw a log up for those runs

23ish psi, including a halfway crushed LICP from hitting a generator during an off course excursion @ autocross.

gonna richen up that peak load moment too

Just started tuning ECU boost control which to say the least was not that bad!

Plans are: ALready purchased FAP 84mm compressor cover, next week, buying 11.5 hotside. Then Buying some valve springs to hold up to hihger rpm a little better. Then from there, start tuning speed density and end up with a maxed out evo 9 turbo! I may upgrade to a larger exhaust cam if I can find a single bigger cam for cheap. For now heres my latest.

Power goals pretty much lie within the "as quickly as quickly possible"

edit(( added a follow up chart

Well for an unknown amount of time I have had a bad center cartridge in this turbo. So bad that the compressor cover is garbage. I'll have it sent to fp, and my surge port cover installed ASAP ... The 11.5 hotside will have to wait. I'm pretty sure I will gain a good amount of tq from a fresh turbo not to mention the fap 84 mm inlet.. really... Need to get speed density on the stock ecu dialed in to compliment this new combination of parts.

I plan to buy the 11.5 hotside soon though, and I'm still trying to figure out if I can wait a couple weeks to get it, send it in to fp and have it ported aswell .. my 10.5 hotside is not lookin so healthy.

Then on top of all this.. I will be trying to come up with a better than stock intercooler setup

Im interested to see what that compressor cover does.

On dynojet correction, my car is making riht about what your making, and im without cams/o2 housing, but with ETS 3.5 inch IC and LICP, same boost, and probably horribly rich afr's since i STILL cant get my damn lc1 to work right.

ibet you see ~20whp with an intercooler alone.
