Missing the adrenaline rush, I took the evo out a little while ago. It’s a beautiful cool day with 61* temps and sunny. I rolled on in first and burned the tires then short shifted to 2nd and burned the tires to 9krpm again before going to 3rd, the car is absolutely nuts. Then I did a 3rd gear pull going up a slight incline without brake boosting and the rpm’s shot up like it was spinning the tires. That was a first, the car has never spun the tires in 3rd gear from a roll or by brake boosting. I tried again on flat ground and it spun slightly, nothing like before. I assume either the tires got warmed up or with flat ground there wasn’t as much load on the car. Either way it was badass. I have no doubt in my mind that this car is going to trap over 140mph easily.

That's great news to hear. Do you have a track day date set yet?

there's an event coming up soon I'm thinking about going to since the opening of memphis international raceway (MIR) was delayed. http://www.importshowdown.com/index....&id=3&Itemid=9

interesting problem I've run into with my EVO, at 40psi it's smoking the tires through 3rd gear. I'm doing 4th gear pulls now to fix that traction problem on the street. Now it's touching 42psi which put it's up to 764awhp 623tq too bad I ran out of e85 for now. I wanted to see 45psi+ tonight. Would 800awhp through the stock maf convince some people that they don't need to go speed density or stand alone?

update there was a flaw in vd 1.09 that dropped the hp at high rpm. I forgot to run it through the new 1.10 beta 26 brad's working on. Now it shows like VDR up top and doesn't dip anymore.

777awhp/624tq

this 680awhp pull was done on the street just before I got on the dynojet and did 705awhp. I'd say we're up on power big time. The new log is in 4th since it was spinning in 3rd.

Almost 800 awhp on stock MAF / stock ECU? Apparently the stock MAF isn't holding you back too much. :P
