I agree on the stand alone portion, but for all you know you have another 30whp on the table just by going speed density. JohnBradley did a back to back test to illustrate the gains: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...ifference.html

Just want to let people know that the metal (honeycomb looking) screen has been removed from the MAF.
Excellent stuff Chris!

that's a good test they did, clearly it helped that car and I don't think my car would be any different especially at higher boost/power. What kind of power are other people getting on a dynojet with the HTA86 at 42psi area? I didn't think I was very far off from the best so I'm pretty happy with where it is now.

got some more e85 and went out to work on the tune but I noticed it was peaking 40psi and falling to 35psi by 8k... odd. I brought it back home and found a hose popped off the intake manifold. It still made 728awhp with a boost leak. I'll try again today for 800

Nice results! I have always seen my car read higher "and obviously spool faster giving more mid range power" in VD doing 4th gear pulls. I have issues with 3rd gear spin as well so i get myself on a good road with bite and get some heat in the tires before i do a VD in 3rd or the spinning makes a crazy looking graph lol. When i was on the dyno i had to do my pulls in 4th gear as we couldn't get it to stop spinning either.

Id like to see ur boost plot. U should include that on your VDs.

At that power level it would be interesting to see it back on a dyno to compare VDR to the Dynojet you were on before. Definitely good power regardless of how its reading the air . Thats right about the same power level we see on a 4" intake with a tapped 3586 or 6262. What cams again?

bittersweet night, 790awhp 706tq at 46psi with a conservative 11.7 AFR and no knock.

However there was a tapping noise in the engine immediately after that pull. It doesn't sound like rod knock at all but more like something up top. I pulled the valve cover and didn''t see/feel anything loose. It sounds like a noisy lifter, it idles/cruises fine for what it's worth. When I rev it in idle the noise is audible at ~2000rpm and speeds up with RPM. I pulled some lifters (not all yet) and found one in the area of the noise that's very difficult to move unlike the others.

we shot a short clip of the car revving with the lifter in and another with it out...seems to be the culprit.

I have some zero tick lifters on the way and will be replacing the whole set as a precaution since the others weren't perfectly quiet either and have seen the same stress. PM me if you're also interested in the Zero Tick lifters we sell and we'll give you a quote with shipping if you include your address.

here's the video on our youtube channel, don't forget to subscribe if you want to be notified when I upload other videos. There's some you can't advertise here that you might find interesting

Chris do you have a kiggly HLA regultor? Just a thought as you are wrapping it out to 9000rpm...

Congrats on the power I almost called you this morning cause you didn't post anything!
