Thumbs up TopSpeed Motorsports - Tuned Evo VIII 2.3L 6262! **VIDEO

Let me throw out a quick intro as the new member of TopSpeed Motorsports. My name is Josh C. I personally own an Evo IX MR and a true die hard Evo fan.

Many of you may be familiar with TopSpeed, but for those who aren't we are located in Alpharetta GA which is just 15 mins north of Atlanta.

TopSpeed Motorsports opened in 2002 and we have been specializing in Evo's since the very begining! We set a lot of records with the Evo platform back in 2003, but through the past few years, we have been getting super busy with other platforms such as Subaru's, BMW's, GTR's, etc etc while still doing Evo's. We've also been doing a LOT of road racing such as the Redline time attack and One Lap of America. Needless to say, we haven't had the time to post much on the boards so that's why I'm here! We will continue to push the cutting edge in the Evo community and do everything we can to keep you guys informed. My number one goal here at TopSpeed is to serve the Evo community... I hope to earn your respect and in turn, your business along the way.

As my little intro to the boards, here is a car we just finished yesterday...

This car belongs to Dan Chi or ChargespeedMR on here. We have tuned his car through most of his setups and he has become a great customer.

The car is a 2005 Evo VIII MR. The car is a BEAUTIFUL Evo and has a LIST full of mods. Mod list is below...

ChargespeedMR: I appoligize if I'm missing anything.

2.3 Slowboy Stroker motor
Ported head
AEM EMS Series 1
Buschur 272 cams
Buschur dual valve springs and retainers
Precision 6262 journal bearing
Shearer fab hot parts
Turbo XS intercooler
Custom intercooler piping
Buschur 65mm ported throttle body
AMS F1-I intake manifold
MPFab custom catch can
Exedy HD twin
Shep trans

ChargespeedMR wanted a VERY conservative tune that he could beat on and not have to worry about a single hiccup. The car made an awesome 566whp at 26PSI on our Dynojet dyno. *Dyno graph is below..

Here's a video we just put together on the car as well!

Enjoy...

-Josh

Thanks, you are correct its 26psi on pump gas.

I will have Doug jump in here an answer the tune question when he has time. He just flew to Tampa this morning to tune 25 cars, so it may be a couple days before he can provide that info.

Thanks again guys

Deff some good power for pumpgas. As far as the CR goes, we're not sure and the customer is not sure neither haha. The motor is a Slowboy 2.3 that was purchased back in 2006 or 2007 and just sat in the basement. I'd guess the CR is somewhere around 9.0:1.
