I would need proof of an aluminum rod engine running over 50 000 miles without re torquing them before I ran them but that is just me. Not sure if I would stand behind a product that has just been test driven for 20 000 . Need to drive it more lol any way nice results. Please update on if you guys run into having to retorque the rods.

Its not so much the retorqueing of the rod bolts but the stretching and work hardening of the aluminum rod. Downshifting and high RPM use will tend to accelerate the stretching.

Why does there seem to be so much controversy with this guy/screen name/shop?

I remember Vegasse (screen name) but haven't seen that user on here that much lately

No, this is a completely different car. We bought it as a shop test mule to test and prototype components on about 2 months ago. We were invited to go to the Modified Tuner Shootout and since we didn't have our race car ready, and the old silver Dsport cover car, which is now a full widebody, being redesigned, etc....was nowhere near ready, we took this one out. I think the car you are thinking of is the old Pacific Blue 2003 that we had about a year and a half ago. This is not that car.

That would be us. A cool Alloy rod will be fine.

Thank you sir. We have it set to make max torque now. I think we could make close to 840-850 if we adjusted the cam timing to bring down the torque.

You think we should move the powerband? I dunno.....3rd gear on the highway at 4500 rpm on M/T Drag radials feel awfully good! The Supra and liter bike did'nt like it as much as I did.
