Evo IX + bolt ons + 93oct + tune + pics + video

Hello guys and gals here are my results I made 340whp/317wtq @25.7 pounds of boost on a dynojet with the mods on my sig. I feel like I should've made more maybe like 360whp considering the mods I have, but ppl keep saying every car is different which I understand but lots of other ppl are making 360 on fewer mods than me. I know temperature and climate plays a big roll on power gains but I dont know. Im extremely happy with the way the car feels are runs but wouldve loved to see more power. What do you guys think?

Here's a dyno sheet, a pic and a vid!!

Your Injen LICP and EBAY FMIC are robbing you of power, especially if it's hot when you got tuned, those cheap cores kill hp in the heat.

Yep. It's been stated over and over again that those intercoolers suck. I also agree that those Injen parts aren't doing you any good.

I'm running the factory air box, factory upper and lower intercooler piping, and a catalytic converter with an extremely limiting (in an attempt to be quiet) exhaust. I made 336 WHP and run 12.3 in the quarter mile with only 21 PSI.

Maybe I'm completely wrong. Maybe that's a low reading Dynojet. Has anyone ever heard of a low reading Dynojet?

never heard of a low reading dynojet i thought they read pretty high agreed on the injen parts might have been better off with the stock pipes

I didn't do a leak down test but I did do a compression check a few weeks before and the numbers ran like this.
Dry: 135, 140, 150, 135
Wet: 140, 149, 157, 150

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't a "boost leak test" also known as a "leak down test"?

No, a leak down test is where you compress a cylinder, a boost leak test is when you compress your intercooler piping...

Gotcha! Thanks for clarifying that. So I take it I should do a boost leak test and change some of those crappy parts.

Should I do a leak down test too considering what my compression results were?

I would check for boost leaks, could be the reason why your car is reading low! Another could be all the cheap parts, the FMIC is not great! Next time save a few months longer and don't rush the build! Quality parts make or break your wallet, down the road they will make up for it! Good luck.......

Trust me I know this. Unfortunately I'm not the original owner when I bought the car it came with that of crap of IC and ICP'ing. I'm gonna try to get a stock Evo 9 IC with the stock ICP'ing and invest on a hallman and try to tension the wastegate to help hold a pound or two more of boost.
