Pretty sure it touched around that mark in this thread, on a Dynojet or Dynapack I'm guessing this result represents somewhere over 600

The standard BR2.3 is a stock crank. The BR2.3RPM engine I am running is a Manley and I've run it to 9900 rpm.

I currently have a hksgtii on a prostock manifold and modular downpipe - the black would be an easy upgrade for me. However the 30hta looks like an awesome alrounder and I would consider selling my whole turbo setup for a 30hta vband kit if the cost for me is justifiable.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks,

I'm going to **** off FP if I go into great detail on all this. Look at the dyno sheet from the HTA3076 and compare it to the Red/Blacks and then take into consideration of the costs to port/coat a manifold, turbine housing, buy and 02 housing and the turbo. It's not to hard to figure out why I'd suggest the full T3 kit with this turbo.

Great comparison.I say HTA86 is one of the best turbo for the Evo's for highway roll you can always break boost the car.

David,

I'm already set....

As you can see I just would just need the Black - a relatively cheap upgrade for me as I would just need to change turbos.
If I was to change to a 30HTA setup I would have to sell my setup and rebuy a 30HTA kit. I think I would probably go for RossSport V band kit if I were to do this:

I just wanted to know if it was worth it really. If it helps the car is not used for drag racing, it's a road racing/sprint car. Please PM me if you would prefer keep it off the forum.

Thanks in advance.

PS - Happy thanksgiving guys!

Those Pushloc water lines on that Ross kit will eventually fail, seen it many times with Pushloc that close to the hotside of the turbo. Pushloc>everything else......except that close to the hotside. lol.

I think you should drink less and read more mullen! haha Read his post again, he says he'd go with Ross's. Makes sense of course, shipping and duties etc. I provide the dyno data and facts so guys can order elsewhere, grows very old.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!!!! I spent thousands and thousands of dollars (full engine, trans rebuild, many miscellaneous parts, etc...) with this guy only to have to endure his constant condescending attitude. Never again. Oh, and I'm building another full-race Evo right now and every single part (full race-engine build, turbo kit, trans build, triple disk clutch, etc..) I have purchased from one of his competitors. Not because I think his parts are bad, but because I won't be treated like a dick while spending thousands with a person. His brother Dan has always been helpful and cordial, though.

David I was asking you the questions because you are someone I respect and would have liked an opinion from. I didn't know that you will only offer advise to people you expect a sale from.

And here was me thinking you were a genuine guy who doesn't mind spending time posting on an Evo enthusiast's forum to help fellow enthusiasts out. You've made it very clear that I am wrong as you are obviously only here to sell your products/ other companies products you can make money off.

I won't be bothering you with any more questions David.

Thank you for your time.

Karl
